Psalm 61-62

1 Hear my cry,
O God;
attend unto my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth
will I cry unto thee,
when my heart is overwhelmed:
lead me to the rock
that is higher than I.

3 For thou hast been a shelter for me,
and a strong tower
from the enemy.

4 I will abide
in thy tabernacle
for ever:
I will trust
in the covert
of thy wings.
Selah.

5 For thou,
O God,
hast heard my vows:
thou hast given me
the heritage
of those
that fear thy name.

6 Thou wilt prolong the king's life:
and his years
as many generations.

7 He shall abide
before God for ever:
O prepare
mercy
and truth,
which may preserve him.

8 So
will I sing praise
unto thy name
for ever,
that I may
daily
perform my vows.

Psalm 62

1 Truly
my soul waiteth
upon God:
from him cometh
my salvation.

2 He only
is my rock
and my salvation;
he is my defence;
I shall not be greatly moved.

3 How long
will ye imagine mischief
against a man?
ye shall be slain
all of you:
as a bowing wall
shall ye be,
and as a tottering fence.

4 They only consult
to cast him down
from his excellency:
they delight in lies:
they bless with their mouth,
but they curse inwardly.
Selah.

5 My soul,
wait thou only
upon God;
for my expectation
is from him.

6 He only
is my rock
and my salvation:
he is my defence;
I shall not be moved.

7 In God
is my salvation
and my glory:
the rock of my strength,
and my refuge,
is in God.

8 Trust in him
at all times;
ye people,
pour out your heart
before him:
God is a refuge
for us.
Selah.

9 Surely
men of low degree
are vanity,
and men of high degree
are a lie:
to be laid
in the balance,
they are altogether
lighter than vanity.

10 Trust not in oppression,
and become not vain
in robbery:
if riches increase,
set not your heart
upon them.

11 God hath spoken once;
twice have I heard this;
that power belongeth unto God.

12 Also unto thee,
O Lord,
belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest
to every man
according to his work.

Leviticus 16:20-34

20 And when
he hath made an end
of reconciling
the holy place,
and the tabernacle
of the congregation,
and the altar,
he shall bring the live goat:

21 And Aaron
shall lay both his hands
upon the head
of the live goat,
and confess over him
all the iniquities
of the children of Israel,
and all their transgressions
in all their sins,
putting them
upon the head
of the goat,
and shall send him away
by the hand
of a fit man
into the wilderness:

22 And the goat
shall bear upon him
all their iniquities
unto a land
not inhabited:
and he shall let go
the goat
in the wilderness.

23 And Aaron
shall come
into the tabernacle
of the congregation,
and shall put off
the linen garments,
which he put on
when he went into
the holy place,
and shall leave them there:

24 And he shall wash his flesh
with water
in the holy place,
and put on his garments,
and come forth,
and offer his burnt offering,
and the burnt offering
of the people,
and make an atonement
for himself,
and for the people.

25 And the fat
of the sin offering
shall he burn
upon the altar.

26 And he
that let go the goat
for the scapegoat
shall wash his clothes,
and bathe his flesh
in water,
and afterward come
into the camp.

27 And the bullock
for the sin offering,
and the goat
for the sin offering,
whose blood
was brought in
to make atonement
in the holy place,
shall one carry forth
without the camp;
and they shall burn
in the fire their skins,
and their flesh,
and their dung.

28 And he that burneth them
shall wash his clothes,
and bathe his flesh
in water,
and afterward
he shall come
into the camp.

29 And this
shall be a statute
for ever
unto you:
that in the seventh month,
on the tenth day of the month,
ye shall afflict your souls,
and do no work at all,
whether it be
one of your own country,
or a stranger
that sojourneth
among you:

30 For
on that day
shall the priest
make an atonement
for you,
to cleanse you,
that ye may be clean
from all your sins
before the Lord.

31 It shall be
a sabbath of rest
unto you,
and ye shall afflict your souls,
by a statute for ever.

32 And the priest,
whom he shall anoint,
and whom he shall consecrate
to minister
in the priest's office
in his father's stead,
shall make the atonement,
and shall put on the linen clothes,
even the holy garments:

33 And he shall make
an atonement
for the holy sanctuary,
and he shall make an atonement
for the tabernacle
of the congregation,
and for the altar,
and he shall make an atonement
for the priests,
and for all the people
of the congregation.

34 And this shall be
an everlasting statute
unto you,
to make an atonement
for the children
of Israel
for all their sins
once a year.
And he did
as the Lord
commanded
Moses.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

1 But
of the times
and the seasons,
brethren,
ye have no need
that I write unto you.

2 For
yourselves
know perfectly
that the day
of the Lord
so cometh
as a thief
in the night.

3 For
when they shall say,
Peace
and safety;
then sudden destruction
cometh
upon them,
as travail
upon a woman
with child;
and they shall not escape.

4 But ye,
brethren,
are not in darkness,
that that day
should overtake you
as a thief.

5 Ye are all
the children of light,
and the children
of the day:
we are not of the night,
nor of darkness.

6 Therefore
let us not sleep,
as do others;
but let us watch
and be sober.

7 For
they that sleep
sleep in the night;
and they that be drunken
are drunken in the night.

8 But
let us,
who are of the day,
be sober,
putting on
the breastplate
of faith
and love;
and for an helmet,
the hope of salvation.

9 For
God
hath not appointed us
to wrath,
but to obtain salvation
by our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 Who died for us,
that,
whether we wake
or sleep,
we should live together
with him.

11 Wherefore
comfort yourselves together,
and edify one another,
even as also
ye do.

Matthew 6:16-18

16 Moreover
when ye fast,
be not,
as the hypocrites,
of a sad countenance:
for they disfigure their faces,
that they may appear
unto men
to fast.
Verily
I say unto you,
They have their reward.

17 But
thou,
when thou fastest,
anoint thine head,
and wash thy face;

18 That
thou appear not
unto men
to fast,
but unto thy Father
which is in secret:
and thy Father,
which seeth
in secret,
shall reward thee
openly.

Psalm 119:73-96

73 Thy hands
have made me
and fashioned me:
give me understanding,
that I may learn thy commandments.

74 They that fear thee
will be glad
when they see me;
because
I have hoped in thy word.

75 I know,
O Lord,
that thy judgments
are right,
and that thou
in faithfulness
hast afflicted me.

76 Let,
I pray thee,
thy merciful kindness
be for my comfort,
according to thy word
unto thy servant.

77 Let thy tender mercies
come unto me,
that I may live:
for thy law
is my delight.

78 Let the proud
be ashamed;
for
they dealt perversely
with me
without a cause:
but
I will meditate
in thy precepts.

79 Let those
that fear thee
turn unto me,
and those
that have known
thy testimonies.

80 Let my heart
be sound
in thy statutes;
that I be not ashamed.

81 My soul fainteth
for thy salvation:
but I hope in thy word.

82 Mine eyes fai
l for thy word,
saying,
When wilt thou
comfort me?

83 For
I am become
like a bottle
in the smoke;
yet do I not forget
thy statutes.

84 How many
are the days
of thy servant?
when
wilt thou execute judgment
on them
that persecute me?

85 The proud
have digged pits
for me,
which are not after thy law.

86 All thy commandments
are faithful:
they persecute me wrongfully;
help thou me.

87 They had almost consumed me
upon earth;
but I forsook not
thy precepts.

88 Quicken me
after thy lovingkindness;
so shall I keep
the testimony of thy mouth.

89 For ever,
O Lord,
thy word
is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness
is unto all generations:
thou hast established the earth,
and it abideth.

91 They continue this day
according to thine ordinances:
for all are thy servants.

92 Unless thy law
had been my delights,
I should then have perished
in mine affliction.

93 I will never forget
thy precepts:
for with them
thou hast quickened me.

94 I am thine,
save me:
for I have sought thy precepts.

95 The wicked
have waited for me
to destroy me:
but
I will consider
thy testimonies.

96 I have seen an end
of all perfection:
but thy commandment
is exceeding broad.

Leviticus 19:1-8

1 And the Lord
spake unto Moses,
saying,

2 Speak
unto all the congregation
of the children
of Israel,
and say unto them,
Ye shall be holy:
for I the Lord your God
am holy.

3 Ye shall fear
every man
his mother,
and his father,
and keep my sabbaths:
I am the Lord your God.

4 Turn ye not unto idols,
nor make to yourselves
molten gods:
I am the Lord your God.

5 And if
ye offer a sacrifice
of peace offerings
unto the Lord,
ye shall offer it
at your own will.

6 It shall be eaten
the same day
ye offer it,
and on the morrow:
and if ought remain
until the third day,
it shall be burnt
in the fire.

7 And if
it be eaten at all
on the third day,
it is abominable;
it shall not be accepted.

8 Therefore
every one
that eateth it
shall bear his iniquity,
because
he hath profaned
the hallowed thing
of the Lord:
and that soul
shall be cut off
from among his people.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-28

12 And we beseech you,
brethren,
to know them
which labour among you,
and are over you
in the Lord,
and admonish you;

13 And to esteem them
very highly
in love
for their work's sake.
And be at peace
among yourselves.

14 Now
we exhort you,
brethren,
warn them
that are unruly,
comfort
the feebleminded,
support the weak,
be patient
toward all men.

15 See that none
render evil
for evil
unto any man;
but ever follow
that which is good,
both among yourselves,
and to all men.

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing
give thanks:
for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus
concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.

20 Despise not prophesyings.

21 Prove all things;
hold fast
that which is good.

22 Abstain
from all appearance
of evil.

23 And the very God of peace
sanctify you wholly;
and I pray God
your whole spirit
and soul
and body
be preserved blameless
unto the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Faithful is he
that calleth you,
who also will do it.

25 Brethren,
pray for us.

26 Greet all the brethren
with an holy kiss.

27 I charge you
by the Lord
that this epistle
be read unto
all the holy brethren.

28 The grace
of our Lord Jesus Christ
be with you.
Amen.

Matthew 6:19-24

19 Lay not up for yourselves
treasures upon earth,
where moth
and rust
doth corrupt,
and where thieves
break through
and steal:

20 But
lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven,
where neither moth
nor rust
doth corrupt,
and where thieves
do not break through
nor steal:

21 For
where your treasure is,
there will your heart be also.

22 The light
of the body
is the eye:
if therefore
thine eye be single,
thy whole body
shall be full of light.

23 But
if
thine eye be evil,
thy whole body
shall be full of darkness.
If therefore
the light
that is in thee
be darkness,
how great
is that darkness.

24 No man
can serve two masters:
for either
he will hate the one,
and love the other;
or else
he will hold to the one,
and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve
God
and mammon.

Psalm 70-71

1 Make haste,
O God,
to deliver me;
make haste to help me,
O Lord.

2 Let them be ashamed
and confounded
that seek after my soul:
let them be turned backward,
and put to confusion,
that desire my hurt.

3 Let them be turned back
for a reward
of their shame
that say,
Aha, aha.

4 Let all those
that seek thee
rejoice
and be glad in thee:
and let such as love thy salvation
say continually,
Let God be magnified.

5 But
I am poor
and needy:
make haste
unto me,
O God:
thou art my help
and my deliverer;
O Lord,
make no tarrying.

Psalm 71

1 In thee,
O Lord,
do I put my trust:
let me never be put
to confusion.

2 Deliver me
in thy righteousness,
and cause me to escape:
incline thine ear unto me,
and save me.

3 Be thou
my strong habitation,
whereunto
I may continually resort:
thou hast given commandment
to save me;
for thou art my rock
and my fortress.

4 Deliver me,
O my God,
out of the hand
of the wicked,
out of the hand
of the unrighteous
and cruel man.

5 For thou art my hope,
O Lord God:
thou art my trust
from my youth.

6 By thee
have I been holden up
from the womb:
thou art he
that took me out
of my mother's bowels:
my praise
shall be continually
of thee.

7 I am as a wonder
unto many;
but
thou art
my strong refuge.

8 Let my mouth
be filled
with thy praise
and with thy honour
all the day.

9 Cast me not off
in the time
of old age;
forsake me not
when my strength faileth.

10 For mine enemies
speak against me;
and they that lay wait
for my soul
take counsel together,

11 Saying,
God hath forsaken him:
persecute
and take him;
for there is none
to deliver him.

12 O God,
be not far from me:
O my God,
make haste
for my help.

13 Let them be confounded
and consumed
that are adversaries
to my soul;
let them be covered
with reproach
and dishonour
that seek my hurt.

14 But
I will hope continually,
and will yet praise thee
more and more.

15 My mouth
shall shew forth
thy righteousness
and thy salvation
all the day;
for I know not
the numbers thereof.

16 I will go
in the strength
of the Lord God:
I will make mention
of thy righteousness,
even of thine only.

17 O God,
thou hast taught me
from my youth:
and hitherto
have I declared
thy wondrous works.

18 Now also
when I am old
and greyheaded,
O God,
forsake me not;
until I have shewed thy strength
unto this generation,
and thy power
to every one
that is to come.

19 Thy righteousness also,
O God,
is very high,
who hast done great things:
O God,
who is like unto thee!

20 Thou,
which hast shewed me
great
and sore troubles,
shalt quicken me again,
and shalt bring me up again
from the depths of the earth.

21 Thou shalt increase my greatness,
and comfort me
on every side.

22 I will also praise thee
with the psaltery,
even thy truth,
O my God:
unto thee will I sing
with the harp,
O thou Holy One of Israel.

23 My lips
shall greatly rejoice
when I sing unto thee;
and my soul,
which thou hast redeemed.

24 My tongue
also
shall talk of thy righteousness
all the day long:
for they are confounded,
for they are brought unto shame,
that seek my hurt.

Leviticus 19:26-37

26 Ye shall not
eat any thing
with the blood:
neither
shall ye use enchantment,
nor observe times.

27 Ye shall not
round
the corners
of your heads,
neither shalt thou
mar the corners
of thy beard.

28 Ye shall not
make any cuttings
in your flesh
for the dead,
nor print
any marks upon you:
I am the Lord.

29 Do not prostitute
thy daughter,
to cause her
to be a whore;
lest the land
fall to whoredom,
and the land
become full of wickedness.

30 Ye shall
keep my sabbaths,
and reverence my sanctuary:
I am the Lord.

31 Regard not them
that have familiar spirits,
neither seek after wizards,
to be defiled by them:
I am the Lord your God.

32 Thou shalt rise up
before the hoary head,
and honour the face
of the old man,
and fear thy God:
I am the Lord.

33 And if
a stranger sojourn
with thee
in your land,
ye shall not vex him.

34 But
the stranger
that dwelleth with you
shall be unto you
as one born among you,
and thou shalt love him
as thyself;
for ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt:
I am the Lord your God.

35 Ye shall
do no unrighteousness
in judgment,
in meteyard,
in weight,
or in measure.

36 Just balances,
just weights,
a just ephah,
and a just hin,
shall ye have:
I am the Lord your God,
which brought you out
of the land
of Egypt.

37 Therefore
shall ye
observe
all my statutes,
and all my judgments,
and do them:
I am the Lord.

2 Thessalonians 1:1-12

1 Paul,
and Silvanus,
and Timotheus,
unto the church
of the Thessalonians
in God our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Grace unto you,
and peace,
from God our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 We are bound
to thank God
always
for you,
brethren,
as it is meet,
because
that your faith groweth
exceedingly,
and the charity
of every one of you
all toward
each other
aboundeth;

4 So that
we ourselves
glory in you
in the churches
of God
for your patience
and faith
in all your persecutions
and tribulations
that ye endure:

5 Which
is a manifest token
of the righteous judgment
of God,
that ye
may be counted worthy
of the kingdom of God,
for which
ye also suffer:

6 Seeing
it is a righteous thing
with God
to recompense
tribulation
to them
that trouble you;

7 And to you
who are troubled
rest with us,
when the Lord Jesus
shall be revealed
from heaven
with his mighty angels,

8 In flaming fire
taking vengeance
on them
that know not God,
and that obey not
the gospel
of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished
with everlasting destruction
from the presence
of the Lord,
and from the glory
of his power;

10 When
he shall come
to be glorified
in his saints,
and to be admired
in all them
that believe
(because
our testimony among you
was believed)
in that day.

11 Wherefore
also
we pray always
for you,
that our God
would count you worthy
of this calling,
and fulfil
all the good pleasure
of his goodness,
and the work of faith
with power:

12 That
the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ
may be glorified
in you,
and ye in him,
according
to the grace
of our God
and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 6:25-34

25 Therefore
I say unto you,
Take no thought
for your life,
what ye shall eat,
or what ye shall drink;
nor yet for your body,
what ye shall put on.
Is not the life
more than meat,
and the body
than raiment?

26 Behold
the fowls of the air:
for they sow not,
neither do they reap,
nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father
feedeth them.
Are ye not
much better
than they?

27 Which of you
by taking thought
can add one cubit
unto his stature?

28 And why
take ye thought
for raiment?
Consider
the lilies of the field,
how they grow;
they toil not,
neither do they spin:

29 And yet
I say unto you,
That even Solomon
in all his glory
was not arrayed
like one of these.

30 Wherefore,
if God
so clothe the grass
of the field,
which to day is,
and to morrow
is cast
into the oven,
shall he not much more
clothe you,
O ye
of little faith?

31 Therefore
take no thought,
saying,
What
shall we eat?
or,
What
shall we drink?
or,
Wherewithal
shall we be clothed?

32 (For
after all these things
do the Gentiles seek:)
for
your heavenly Father
knoweth
that ye have need
of all these things.

33 But
seek ye first
the kingdom of God,
and his righteousness;
and all these things
shall be added
unto you.

34 Take therefore
no thought
for the morrow:
for the morrow
shall take thought
for the things
of itself.
Sufficient unto the day
is the evil thereof.

Psalm 106

1 Praise ye the Lord.
O give thanks unto the Lord;
for he is good:
for his mercy endureth
for ever.
2 Who
can utter
the mighty acts
of the Lord?
who
can shew forth
all his praise?

3 Blessed are they
that keep judgment,
and he that doeth righteousness
at all times.

4 Remember me,
O Lord,
with the favour
that thou bearest
unto thy people:
O visit me
with thy salvation;

5 That I may see
the good
of thy chosen,
that I may rejoice
in the gladness
of thy nation,
that I may glory
with thine inheritance.

6 We have sinned
with our fathers,
we have committed iniquity,
we have done wickedly.

7 Our fathers
understood not
thy wonders
in Egypt;
they remembered not
the multitude
of thy mercies;
but provoked him
at the sea,
even at the Red sea.

8 Nevertheless
he saved them
for his name's sake,
that he might make
his mighty power
to be known.

9 He rebuked
the Red sea also,
and it was dried up:
so he led them through
the depths,
as through the wilderness.

10 And he saved them
from the hand
of him
that hated them,
and redeemed them
from the hand
of the enemy.

11 And the waters
covered their enemies:
there was not one
of them left.

12 Then
believed they
his words;
they sang his praise.

13 They soon forgat
his works;
they waited not
for his counsel:

14 But
lusted exceedingly
in the wilderness,
and tempted God
in the desert.

15 And he gave them
their request;
but
sent leanness
into their soul.

16 They envied Moses
also in the camp,
and Aaron
the saint
of the Lord.

17 The earth opened
and swallowed up Dathan
and covered the company
of Abiram.

18 And a fire
was kindled
in their company;
the flame burned
up the wicked.

19 They made a calf
in Horeb,
and worshipped
the molten image.

20 Thus
they changed their glory
into the similitude
of an ox
that eateth grass.

21 They forgat God
their saviour,
which had done great things
in Egypt;

22 Wondrous works
in the land of Ham,
and terrible things
by the Red sea.

23 Therefore
he said
that he would destroy them,
had not Moses
his chosen
stood before him
in the breach,
to turn away
his wrath,
lest he should
destroy them.

24 Yea,
they despised
the pleasant land,
they believed not
his word:

25 But
murmured
in their tents,
and hearkened not
unto the voice
of the Lord.

26 Therefore
he lifted up
his hand
against them,
to overthrow them
in the wilderness:

27 To overthrow
their seed also
among the nations,
and to scatter them
in the lands.

28 They joined themselves
also
unto Baalpeor,
and ate the sacrifices
of the dead.

29 Thus
they provoked him
to anger
with their inventions:
and the plague
brake in upon them.

30 Then
stood up Phinehas,
and executed judgment:
and so the plague
was stayed.

31 And that was counted
unto him
for righteousness
unto all generations
for evermore.

32 They angered him
also
at the waters of strife,
so that it went ill
with Moses
for their sakes:

33 Because
they provoked his spirit,
so that he spake
unadvisedly
with his lips.

34 They did not
destroy the nations,
concerning whom
the Lord commanded them:

35 But
were mingled
among the heathen,
and learned their works.

36 And they served
their idols:
which were a snare
unto them.

37 Yea,
they sacrificed
their sons
and their daughters
unto devils,

38 And shed innocent blood,
even the blood
of their sons
and of their daughters,
whom they sacrificed
unto the idols
of Canaan:
and the land was polluted
with blood.

39 Thus were they defiled
with their own works,
and went a whoring
with their own inventions.

40 Therefore
was the wrath
of the Lord kindled
against his people,
insomuch
that he abhorred
his own inheritance.

41 And he gave them
into the hand
of the heathen;
and they that hated them
ruled over them.

42 Their enemies
also
oppressed them,
and they were brought
into subjection
under their hand.

43 Many times
did he deliver them;
but they provoked him
with their counsel,
and were brought low
for their iniquity.

44 Nevertheless
he regarded their affliction,
when he heard their cry:

45 And he remembered
for them
his covenant,
and repented according
to the multitude
of his mercies.

46 He made them
also
to be pitied
of all those
that carried them captives.

47 Save us,
O Lord our God,
and gather us
from among the heathen,
to give thanks
unto thy holy name,
and to triumph
in thy praise.

48 Blessed
be the Lord God
of Israel
from everlasting
to everlasting:
and let all the people
say,
Amen.
Praise ye the Lord.

Leviticus 23:1-22

1 And the Lord
spake
unto Moses,
saying,

2 Speak
unto the children
of Israel,
and say
unto them,
Concerning the feasts
of the Lord,
which ye shall proclaim
to be holy convocations,
even these
are my feasts.

3 Six days
shall work be done:
but the seventh day
is the sabbath of rest,
an holy convocation;
ye shall do no work therein:
it is the sabbath
of the Lord
in all your dwellings.

4 These
are the feasts
of the Lord,
even holy convocations,
which ye shall proclaim
in their seasons.

5 In the fourteenth day
of the first month
at even
is the Lord's passover.

6 And on the fifteenth day
of the same month
is the feast
of unleavened bread
unto the Lord:
seven days
ye must eat
unleavened bread.

7 In the first day
ye shall have
an holy convocation:
ye shall do no servile work
therein.

8 But
ye shall offer
an offering
made by fire
unto the Lord
seven days:
in the seventh day
is an holy convocation:
ye shall do no servile work
therein.

9 And the Lord
spake
unto Moses,
saying,

10 Speak
unto the children
of Israel, and say
unto them,
When ye be come
into the land
which I give unto you,
and shall reap
the harvest thereof,
then ye shall bring
a sheaf
of the firstfruits
of your harvest
unto the priest:

11 And he shall wave
the sheaf
before the Lord,
to be accepted for you:
on the morrow
after the sabbath
the priest shall wave it.

12 And ye shall offer
that day
when
ye wave the sheaf
an he lamb
without blemish
of the first year
for a burnt offering
unto the Lord.

13 And the meat offering
thereof
shall be two tenth deals
of fine flour
mingled with oil,
an offering
made by fire
unto the Lord
for a sweet savour:
and the drink offering
thereof
shall be of wine,
the fourth part
of an hin.

14 And ye shall eat
neither bread,
nor parched corn,
nor green ears,
until the selfsame day
that ye have brought
an offering
unto your God:
it shall be a statute
for ever
throughout
your generations
in all your dwellings.

15 And ye shall count
unto you
from the morrow
after the sabbath,
from the day
that ye brought
the sheaf
of the wave offering;
seven sabbaths
shall be complete:

16 Even unto the morrow
after the seventh sabbath
shall ye number fifty days;
and ye shall offer
a new meat offering
unto the Lord.

17 Ye shall bring out
of your habitations
two wave loaves
of two tenth deals;
they shall be of fine flour;
they shall be baken
with leaven;
they are the firstfruits
unto the Lord.

18 And ye shall offer
with the bread
seven lambs
without blemish
of the first year,
and one young bullock,
and two rams:
they shall be f
or a burnt offering
unto the Lord,
with their meat offering,
and their drink offerings,
even an offering
made by fire,
of sweet savour
unto the Lord.

19 Then
ye shall sacrifice
one kid
of the goats
for a sin offering,
and two lambs
of the first year
for a sacrifice
of peace offerings.

20 And the priest
shall wave them
with the bread
of the firstfruits
for a wave offering
before the Lord,
with the two lambs:
they shall be holy
to the Lord
for the priest.

21 And ye shall proclaim
on the selfsame day,
that it may
be an holy convocation
unto you:
ye shall do no servile work
therein:
it shall be a statute
for ever
in all your dwellings
throughout your generations.

22 And when
ye reap the harvest
of your land,
thou shalt not make clean riddance
of the corners
of thy field
when thou reapest,
neither shalt thou gather
any gleaning
of thy harvest:
thou shalt leave them
unto the poor,
and to the stranger:
I am the Lord
your God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-17

1 Now
we beseech you,
brethren,
by the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together
unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken
in mind,
or be troubled,
neither by spirit,
nor by word,
nor by letter as from us,
as that the day of Christ
is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you
by any means:
for that day shall not come,
except
there come a falling away
first,
and that man of sin
be revealed,
the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth
and exalteth himself
above all
that is called God,
or that is worshipped;
so that
he
as God
sitteth
in the temple of God,
shewing himself
that he is God.

5 Remember ye not,
that,
when I was yet
with you,
I told you
these things?

6 And now
ye know
what withholdeth
that he might be revealed
in his time.

7 For
the mystery
of iniquity
doth already work:
only he
who now letteth
will let,
until he be taken
out of the way.

8 And then
shall that Wicked
be revealed,
whom the Lord
shall consume
with the spirit
of his mouth,
and shall destroy
with the brightness
of his coming:

9 Even him,
whose coming
is after
the working of Satan
with all power
and signs
and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness
of unrighteousness
in them
that perish;
because
they received not
the love
of the truth,
that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause
God shall send them
strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all
might be damned
who believed
not the truth,
but had pleasure
in unrighteousness.

13 But
we are bound
to give thanks alway
to God
for you,
brethren
beloved of the Lord,
because
God hath
from the beginning
chosen you
to salvation
through sanctification
of the Spirit
and belief
of the truth:

14 Whereunto
he called you
by our gospel,
to the obtaining
of the glory
of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Therefore,
brethren,
stand fast,
and hold the traditions
which ye have been taught,
whether by word,
or our epistle.

16 Now
our Lord Jesus Christ
himself,
and God,
even our Father,
which hath loved us,
and hath given us
everlasting consolation
and good hope
through grace,

17 Comfort your hearts,
and stablish you
in every good word
and work.

Matthew 7:1-12

1 Judge not,
that ye be not judged.

2 For
with what judgment
ye judge,
ye shall be judged:
and with what measure
ye mete,
it shall be measured
to you
again.

3 And why
beholdest thou
the mote
that is in thy brother's eye,
but
considerest not
the beam
that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how
wilt thou say
to thy brother,
Let me pull out
the mote
out of thine eye;
and, behold,
a beam
is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite,
first cast out
the beam
out of thine own eye;
and then
shalt thou see clearly
to cast out the mote
out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that
which is holy
unto the dogs,
neither cast ye
your pearls
before swine,
lest they trample them
under their feet,
and turn again
and rend you.

7 Ask,
and it shall be given you;
seek,
and ye shall find;
knock,
and it shall be opened
unto you:

8 For
every one that asketh
receiveth;
and he that seeketh
findeth;
and to him that kocketh
it shall be opened.

9 Or
what man is there
of you,
whom
if his son ask bread,
will he give him a stone?

10 Or
if he ask a fish,
will he give him a serpent?

11 If
ye then,
being evil,
know how to give good gifts
unto your children,
how much more
shall your Father
which is in heaven
give good things
to them
that ask him?

12 Therefore
all things
whatsoever
ye would
that men
should do to you,
do ye even so
to them:
for this
is the law
and the prophets.

Psalm 75-76

1 Unto thee,
O God,
do we give thanks,
unto thee
do we give thanks:
for that thy name is near
thy wondrous works declare.

2 When
I shall receive the congregation
I will judge uprightly.

3 The earth
and all the inhabitants thereof
are dissolved: I
bear up the pillars of it.
Selah.

4 I said
unto the fools,
Deal not foolishly:
and to the wicked,
Lift not up the horn:

5 Lift not up your horn
on high:
speak not
with a stiff neck.

6 For promotion cometh
neither from the east,
nor from the west,
nor from the south.

7 But
God is the judge:
he putteth down one,
and setteth up another.

8 For
in the hand of the Lord
there is a cup,
and the wine is red;
it is full of mixture;
and he poureth out
of the same:
but the dregs thereof,
all the wicked of the earth
shall wring them out,
and drink them.

9 But
I will declare for ever;
I will sing praises
to the God of Jacob.

10 All the horns
of the wicked
also
will I cut off;
but
the horns
of the righteous
shall be exalted.

Psalm 76

1 In Judah
is God known:
his name is great
in Israel.

2 In Salem
also
is his tabernacle,
and his dwelling place
in Zion.

3 There brake he
the arrows
of the bow,
the shield,
and the sword,
and the battle.
Selah.

4 Thou art more glorious
and excellent
than the mountains
of prey.

5 The stouthearted
are spoiled,
they have slept
their sleep:
and none
of the men
of might
have found their hands.

6 At thy rebuke
, O God of Jacob,
both the chariot
and horse
are cast
into a dead sleep.

7 Thou,
even thou,
art to be feared:
and who may stand
in thy sight
when once
thou art angry?

8 Thou
didst cause judgment
to be heard
from heaven;
the earth feared,
and was still,

9 When
God arose
to judgment,
to save
all the meek
of the earth.
Selah.

10 Surely
the wrath
of man
shall praise thee:
the remainder
of wrath
shalt thou restrain.

11 Vow,
and pay
unto the Lord your God:
let all
that be round about him
bring presents
unto him
that ought to be feared.

12 He shall cut off
the spirit of princes:
he is terrible
to the kings
of the earth.

Leviticus 23:23-44

23 And the Lord spake
unto Moses,
saying,

24 Speak
unto the children
of Israel,
saying,
In the seventh month,
in the first day
of the month,
shall ye have a sabbath,
a memorial
of blowing of trumpets,
an holy convocation.

25 Ye shall do
no servile work
therein:
but
ye shall offer
an offering
made by fire
unto the Lord.

26 And the Lord
spake unto Moses,
saying,

27 Also
on the tenth day
of this seventh month
there shall be
a day of atonement:
it shall be
an holy convocation
unto you;
and ye shall afflict your souls,
and offer
an offering
made by fire
unto the Lord.

28 And ye shall do no work
in that same day:
for it
is a day of atonement,
to make an atonement
for you
before the Lord your God.

29 For
whatsoever soul it be
that shall not be afflicted
in that same day,
he shall be cut off
from among his people.

30 And whatsoever soul it be
that doeth any work
in that same day,
the same soul
will I destroy
from among his people.

31 Ye shall do
no manner of work:
it shall be a statute
for ever
throughout your generations
in all your dwellings.

32 It shall be unto you
a sabbath of rest,
and ye shall afflict your souls:
in the ninth day
of the month
at even,
from even unto even,
shall ye celebrate
your sabbath.

33 And the Lord spake
unto Moses,
saying,

34 Speak
unto the children of Israel,
saying,
The fifteenth day
of this seventh month
shall be the feast
of tabernacles
for seven days
unto the Lord.

35 On the first day
shall be an holy convocation:
ye shall do
no servile work
therein.

36 Seven days
ye shall offer
an offering
made by fire
unto the Lord:
on the eighth day
shall be an holy convocation
unto you;
and ye shall offer
an offering
made by fire
unto the Lord:
it is a solemn assembly;
and ye shall do
no servile work
therein.

37 These
are the feasts
of the Lord,
which ye shall proclaim
to be holy convocations,
to offer
an offering
made by fire
unto the Lord,
a burnt offering,
and a meat offering,
a sacrifice,
and drink offerings,
every thing
upon his day:

38 Beside the sabbaths
of the Lord,
and beside your gifts,
and beside all your vows,
and beside all your freewill offerings,
which ye give
unto the Lord.

39 Also
in the fifteenth day
of the seventh month,
when ye have gathered in
the fruit of the land,
ye shall keep a feast
unto the Lord
seven days:
on the first day
shall be a sabbath,
and on the eighth day
shall be a sabbath.

40 And ye shall take you
on the first day
the boughs of goodly trees,
branches of palm trees,
and the boughs of thick trees,
and willows of the brook;
and ye shall rejoice
before the Lord your God
seven days.

41 And ye shall keep it
a feast
unto the Lord
seven days
in the year.
It shall be a statute
for ever
in your generations:
ye shall celebrate it
in the seventh month.

42 Ye shall dwell
in booths
seven days;
all that are Israelites born
shall dwell in booths:

43 That your generations
may know
that I
made the children
of Israel
to dwell in booths,
when I brought them
out of the land of Egypt:
I am the Lord
your God.

44 And Moses declared
unto the children
of Israel
the feasts
of the Lord.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-18

1 Finally,
brethren,
pray for us,
that the word of the Lord
may have free course,
and be glorified,
even as it is with you:

2 And that
we may be delivered
from unreasonable
and wicked men:
for all men
have not faith.

3 But
the Lord is faithful,
who shall stablish you,
and keep you
from evil.

4 And we have confidence
in the Lord
touching you,
that ye both do
and will do
the things
which we command you.

5 And the Lord
direct your hearts
into the love of God,
and into the patient waiting
for Christ.

6 Now
we command you,
brethren,
in the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that ye withdraw yourselves
from every brother
that walketh disorderly,
and not after the tradition
which he received
of us.

7 For
yourselves know
how ye ought
to follow us:
for
we behaved
not ourselves
disorderly
among you;

8 Neither
did we eat
any man's bread
for nought;
but wrought
with labour
and travail
night
and day,
that we might not
be chargeable
to any
of you:

9 Not because
we have not power,
but to make ourselves
an ensample
unto you
to follow us.

10 For
even when
we were with you,
this we commanded you,
that if any would not work,
neither should he eat.

11 For
we hear
that there are some
which walk among you
disorderly,
working not at all,
but are busybodies.

12 Now them
that are such
we command
and exhort
by our Lord Jesus Christ,
that with quietness
they work,
and eat their own bread.

13 But
ye,
brethren,
be not weary
in well doing.

14 And if
any man
obey not our word
by this epistle,
note that man,
and have no company
with him,
that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet
count him not
as an enemy,
but admonish him
as a brother.

16 Now
the Lord of peace
himself
give you peace
always
by all means.
The Lord
be with you all.

17 The salutation
of Paul
with mine own hand,
which is the token
in every epistle:
so I write.

18 The grace
of our Lord Jesus Christ
be with you all.
Amen.

Matthew 7:13-21

13 Enter ye in
at the strait gate:
for wide
is the gate,
and broad
is the way,
that leadeth to destruction,
and many there be
which go in
thereat:

14 Because
strait
is the gate,
and narrow
is the way,
which leadeth unto life,
and few there be
that find it.

15 Beware
of false prophets,
which come to you
in sheep's clothing,
but inwardly
they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them
by their fruits.
Do men
gather grapes
of thorns,
or figs
of thistles?

17 Even so
every good tree
bringeth forth good fruit;
but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree
cannot bring forth evil fruit,
neither
can a corrupt tree bring
forth good fruit.

19 Every tree
that bringeth not forth
good fruit
is hewn down,
and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore
by their fruits
ye shall know them.

21 Not every one
that saith unto me,
Lord,
Lord,
shall enter
into the kingdom of heaven;
but
he
that doeth
the will
of my Father
which is in heaven.

Psalm 93 & 96

1 The Lord reigneth,
he is clothed with majesty;
the Lord is clothed with strength,
wherewith
he hath girded himself:
the world also is stablished,
that it cannot be moved.

2 Thy throne
is established of old:
thou
art from everlasting.

3 The floods
have lifted up,
O Lord,
the floods
have lifted up
their voice;
the floods lift up
their waves.

4 The Lord
on high
is mightier
than the noise
of many waters,
yea,
than the mighty waves
of the sea.

5 Thy testimonies
are very sure:
holiness
becometh thine house,
O Lord,
for ever.

Psalm 96

1 O sing
unto the Lord
a new song:
sing
unto the Lord,
all the earth.

2 Sing
unto the Lord,
bless
his name;
shew forth
his salvation
from day to day.

3 Declare his glory
among the heathen,
his wonders
among all people.

4 For
the Lord is great,
and greatly to be praised:
he is to be feared
above all gods.

5 For
all the gods
of the nations
are idols:
but
the Lord
made the heavens.

6 Honour
and majesty
are before him:
strength
and beauty
are in his sanctuary.

7 Give
unto the Lord,
O ye kindreds
of the people,
give
unto the Lord
glory
and strength.

8 Give
unto the Lord
the glory
due unto his name:
bring an offering,
and come into his courts.

9 O worship the Lord
in the beauty of holiness:
fear before him,
all the earth.

10 Say
among the heathen
that the Lord reigneth:
the world also
shall be established
that it shall not be moved:
he shall judge the people
righteously.

11 Let the heavens rejoice,
and let the earth be glad;
let the sea roar,
and the fulness thereof.

12 Let the field be joyful,
and all that is therein:
then
shall all the trees
of the wood
rejoice

13 Before the Lord:
for he cometh,
for he cometh
to judge the earth:
he
shall judge the world
with righteousness,
and the people
with his truth.

Leviticus 25:1-17

1 And the Lord
spake
unto Moses
in mount Sinai,
saying,

2 Speak
unto the children
of Israel
and say unto them,
When ye come
into the land
which I
give you,
then
shall the land keep
a sabbath
unto the Lord.

3 Six years
thou shalt sow thy field,
and six years
thou shalt prune thy vineyard,
and gather in
the fruit thereof;

4 But
in the seventh year
shall be a sabbath
of rest
unto the land,
a sabbath for the Lord:
thou shalt neither
sow thy field,
nor prune thy vineyard.

5 That
which groweth
of its own accord
of thy harves
t thou shalt not reap,
neither gather the grapes
of thy vine undressed:
for it is a year of rest
unto the land.

6 And the sabbath
of the land
shall be meat for you;
for thee,
and for thy servant,
and for thy maid,
and for thy hired servant,
and for thy stranger
that sojourneth with thee.

7 And for thy cattle,
and for the beast
that are in thy land,
shall all the increase thereof
be meat.

8 And thou shalt number
seven sabbaths of years
unto thee,
seven times
seven years;
and the space
of the seven sabbaths
of years
shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

9 Then
shalt thou cause
the trumpet
of the jubile
to sound
on the tenth day
of the seventh month,
in the day of atonement
shall ye make the trumpet sound
throughout all your land.

10 And ye shall hallow
the fiftieth year,
and proclaim liberty
throughout all the land
unto all the inhabitants
thereof:
it shall be a jubile
unto you;
and ye shall return
every man
unto his possession,
and ye shall return
every man
unto his family.

11 A jubile
shall that fiftieth year be
unto you:
ye shall not sow,
neither reap that
which groweth of itself
in it,
nor gather the grapes
in it
of thy vine
undressed.

12 For
it is the jubile;
it shall be holy
unto you:
ye shall eat the increase
thereof
out of the field.

13 In the year
of this jubile
ye shall return
every man
unto his possession.

14 And if
thou sell ought
unto thy neighbour,
or buyest ought
of thy neighbour's hand
, ye shall not oppress
one another:

15 According
to the number
of years
after the jubile
thou shalt buy
of thy neighbour,
and according
unto the number of years
of the fruits
he shall sell unto thee:

16 According
to the multitude
of years
thou shalt increase
the price thereof,
and according
to the fewness of years
thou shalt diminish
the price of it:
for according
to the number
of the years
of the fruits
doth he sell unto thee.

17 Ye shall not
therefore
oppress one another;
but thou shalt fear
thy God:
for I am the Lord your God.

James 1:1-11

James,
a servant of God
and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
to the twelve tribes
which are scattered abroad,
greeting.

2 My brethren,
count it all joy
when ye fall
into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this,
that the trying
of your faith
worketh patience.

4 But
let patience
have her perfect work,
that ye may be perfect
and entire,
wanting nothing.

5 If
any of you
lack wisdom,
let him ask of God,
that giveth
to all men liberally,
and upbraideth not;
and it shall be given him.

6 But
let him ask
in faith,
nothing wavering.
For
he that wavereth
is like a wave
of the sea driven
with the wind
and tossed.

7 For
let not that man
think
that he shall receive
any thing
of the Lord.

8 A double minded man
is unstable
in all his ways.

9 Let the brother
of low degree
rejoice
in that he is exalted:

10 But
the rich,
in that he is made low:
because
as the flower
of the grass
he shall pass away.

11 For
the sun
is no sooner risen
with a burning heat,
but
it withereth
the grass,
and the flower thereof
falleth,
and the grace
of the fashion
of it perisheth:
so also
shall the rich man
fade away
in his ways.

Luke 12:13-21

13 And one
of the company
said unto him,
Master,
speak to my brother,
that he divide
the inheritance
with me.

14 And he said
unto him,
Man,
who
made me
a judge
or a divider
over you?

15 And he said
unto them,
Take heed,
and beware
of covetousness:
for a man's life
consisteth not
in the abundance
of the things
which he possesseth.

16 And he spake
a parable
unto them,
saying,
The ground
of a certain rich man
brought forth plentifully:

17 And he thought
within himself,
saying,
What shall I do,
because I have no room
where to bestow my fruits?

18 And he said,
This will I do:
I will pull down my barns
, and build greater;
and there will I bestow
all my fruits
and my goods.

19 And I will say
to my soul,
Soul,
thou hast much goods
laid up
for many years;
take thine ease,
eat,
drink,
and be merry.

20 But
God said
unto him,
Thou fool,
this night
thy soul
shall be require
d of thee:
then whose
shall those things be,
which thou hast provided?

21 So
is he
that layeth up
treasure
for himself,
and
is not rich
toward God.

Psalm 79-80

1 O God,
the heathen
are come into thine inheritance;
thy holy temple
have they defiled;
they have laid Jerusalem
on heaps.

2 The dead bodies
of thy servants
have they given
to be meat
unto the fowls
of the heaven,
the flesh
of thy saints
unto the beasts
of the earth.

3 Their blood
have they shed
like water
round about Jerusalem;
and there was none
to bury them.

4 We are become
a reproach
to our neighbours,
a scorn
and derision
to them
that are round about us.

5 How long,
Lord?
wilt thou be angry
for ever?
shall thy jealousy
burn like fire?

6 Pour out thy wrath
upon the heathen
that have not known thee,
and upon the kingdoms
that have not called
upon thy name.

7 For
they have devoured Jacob,
and laid waste
his dwelling place.

8 O
remember not against us
former iniquities:
let thy tender mercies
speedily prevent us:
for we are brought
very low.

9 Help us,
O God
of our salvation,
for the glory
of thy name:
and deliver us,
and purge away
our sins,
for thy name's sake.

10 Wherefore
should the heathen say,
Where
is their God?
let him be known
among the heathen
in our sight
by the revenging
of the blood
of thy servants
which is shed.

11 Let the sighing
of the prisoner
come before thee;
according to
the greatness
of thy power
preserve thou
those
that are appointed
to die;

12 And render
unto our neighbours
sevenfold
into their bosom
their reproach,
wherewith
they have reproached thee,
O Lord.

13 So
we
thy people
and sheep
of thy pasture
will give thee thanks
for ever:
we will shew forth
thy praise
to all generations.

Psalm 80

1 Give ear,
O Shepherd
of Israel,
thou that leadest Joseph
like a flock;
thou that dwellest
between the cherubims,
shine forth.

2 Before
Ephraim
and Benjamin
and Manasseh
stir up thy strength,
and come
and save us.

3 Turn us again,
O God,
and cause thy face
to shine;
and we shall be saved.

4 O Lord God of hosts,
how long
wilt thou be angry
against the prayer
of thy people?

5 Thou feedest them
with the bread of tears;
and givest them
tears to drink
in great measure.

6 Thou makest us
a strife
unto our neighbours:
and our enemies
laugh
among themselves.

7 Turn us again,
O God of hosts,
and cause thy face
to shine;
and we shall be saved.

8 Thou hast brought a vine
out of Egypt:
thou hast cast out
the heathen,
and planted it.

9 Thou preparedst room
before it,
and didst cause it
to take deep root,
and it filled the land.

10 The hills were covered
with the shadow of it,
and the boughs thereof
were like the goodly cedars.

11 She sent out her boughs
unto the sea,
and her branches
unto the river.

12 Why hast thou
then
broken down her hedges,
so that all they
which pass by the way
do pluck her?

13 The boar
out of the wood
doth waste it,
and the wild beast
of the field
doth devour it.

14 Return,
we beseech thee,
O God of hosts:
look down from heaven,
and behold,
and visit this vine;

15 And the vineyard
which thy right hand
hath planted,
and the branch
that thou madest strong
for thyself.

16 It is burned
with fire,
it is cut down:
they perish
at the rebuke
of thy countenance.

17 Let thy hand
be upon the man
of thy right hand,
upon the son of man
whom thou madest strong
for thyself.

18 So
will not we
go back from thee:
quicken us,
and we will call upon
thy name.

19 Turn us again,
O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face
to shine;
and we shall be saved.

Leviticus 25:35-55

35 And if
thy brother
be waxen poor,
and fallen in decay
with thee;
then thou shalt relieve him:
yea,
though he be a stranger,
or a sojourner;
that he may live with thee.

36 Take thou
no usury of him,
or increase:
but fear thy God;
that thy brother
may live with thee.

37 Thou shalt not give him
thy money
upon usury,
nor lend him
thy victuals
for increase.

38 I am the Lord your God,
which brought you forth
out of the land of Egypt,
to give you
the land of Canaan,
and to be your God.

39 And if
thy brother
that dwelleth by thee
be waxen poor,
and be sold unto thee;
thou shalt not compel him
to serve
as a bondservant:

40 But
as an hired servant,
and as a sojourner,
he shall be with thee,
and shall serve thee
unto the year of jubile.

41 And then
shall he depart
from thee,
both he
and his children
with him,
and shall return
unto his own family,
and unto the possession
of his fathers
shall he return.

42 For
they are my servants,
which I brought forth
out of the land of Egypt:
they shall not be sold
as bondmen.

43 Thou shalt not rule over him
with rigour;
but shalt fear thy God.

44 Both thy bondmen,
and thy bondmaids,
which thou shalt have,
shall be of the heathen
that are round about you;
of them
shall ye buy bondmen
and bondmaids.

45 Moreover
of the children
of the strangers
that do sojourn
among you,
of them shall ye buy,
and of their families
that are with you,
which they begat
in your land:
and they shall be your possession.

46 And ye shall take them
as an inheritance
for your children
after you,
to inherit them
for a possession;
they shall be your bondmen
for ever:
but over your brethren
the children of Israel,
ye shall not rule
one
over another
with rigour.

47 And if
a sojourner
or stranger
wax rich
by thee,
and thy brother
that dwelleth
by him
wax poor,
and sell himself
unto the stranger
or sojourner
by thee,
or to the stock
of the stranger's family:

48 After that he is sold
he may be redeemed again;
one of his brethren
may redeem him:

49 Either his uncle,
or his uncle's son,
may redeem him,
or any that is nigh of kin
unto him
of his family
may redeem him;
or if he be able,
he may redeem himself.

50 And he shall reckon
with him
that bought him
from the year
that he was sold
to him
unto the year of jubile:
and the price
of his sale
shall be according
unto the number of years,
according to the time
of an hired servant
shall it be with him.

51 If
there be
yet many years behind,
according unto them
he shall give again
the price of his redemption
out of the money
that he was bought for.

52 And if
there remain
but few years
unto the year of jubile,
then he shall count
with him,
and according unto his years
shall he give him again
the price of his redemption.

53 And as a yearly hired servant
shall he be
with him:
and the other
shall not rule
with rigour
over him
in thy sight.

54 And if
he be not redeemed
in these years,
then he shall go out
in the year of jubile,
both he,
and his children with him.

55 For unto me
the children of Israel
are servants;
they are my servants
whom I brought forth
out of the land of Egypt:
I am the Lord your God.

James 1:12-18

12 Blessed is the man
that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried,
he shall receive
the crown of life,
which the Lord hath promised
to them
that love him.

13 Let no man say
when he is tempted,
I am tempted of God:
for God
cannot be tempted
with evil,
neither tempteth he
any man:

14 But
every man
is tempted,
when he is drawn away
of his own lust,
and enticed.

15 Then
when lust
hath conceived,
it bringeth forth sin:
and sin,
when it is finished,
bringeth forth death.

16 Do not err,
my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift
and every perfect gift
is from above,
and cometh down
from the Father
of lights,
with whom
is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will
begat he us
with the word of truth,
that we should be
a kind of firstfruits
of his creatures.

Matthew 13:1-16

1 The same day
went Jesus
out of the house,
and sat
by the sea side.

2 And great multitudes
were gathered
together
unto him,
so that
he went into a ship,
and sat;
and the whole multitude
stood on the shore.

3 And he spake
many things
unto them
in parables,
saying,
Behold,
a sower
went forth to sow;

4 And when he sowed,
some seeds
fell by the way side,
and the fowls came
and devoured them up:

5 Some fell
upon stony places,
where they had not much earth:
and forthwith
they sprung up,
because
they had no deepness
of earth:

6 And when the sun
was up,
they were scorched;
and because
they had no root,
they withered away.

7 And some fell
among thorns;
and the thorns
sprung up,
and choked them:

8 But
other fell
into good ground,
and brought forth fruit,
some an hundredfold,
some sixtyfold,
some thirtyfold.

9 Who hath ears to hear,
let him hear.

10 And the disciples came,
and said unto him,
Why speakest thou
unto the
in parables?

11 He answered
and said
unto them,
Because
it is given
unto you
to know
the mysteries
of the kingdom
of heaven,
but
to them
it is not given.

12 For whosoever hath,
to him shall be given,
and he shall have more abundance:
but
whosoever hath not,
from him
shall be taken away
even that he hath.

13 Therefore
speak I
to them
in parables:
because
they seeing
see not;
and hearing
they hear not,
neither do they understand.

14 And in them
is fulfilled
the prophecy
of Esaias,
which saith,
By hearing
ye shall hear,
and shall not understand;
and seeing
ye shall see,
and shall not perceive:

15 For
this people's heart
is waxed gross,
and their ears
are dull of hearing,
and their eyes
they have closed;
lest at any time
they should see
with their eyes
and hear
with their ears,
and should understand
with their heart,
and should be converted,
and I should heal them.

16 But
blessed
are your eyes,
for they see:
and your ears,
for they hear.

Psalm 78

1 Give ear,
O my people,
to my law:
incline your ears
to the words
of my mouth.

2 I will open my mouth
in a parable:
I will utter dark sayings
of old:

3 Which we have heard
and known,
and our fathers
have told us.

4 We will not hide them
from their children,
shewing
to the generation
to come
the praises
of the Lord,
and his strength,
and his wonderful works
that he hath done.

5 For
he established
a testimony
in Jacob,
and appointed
a law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers,
that they should make them known
to their children:

6 That
the generation
to come
might know them,
even the children
which should be born;
who should arise
and declare them
to their children:

7 That
they might set their hope
in God,
and not forget
the works of God,
but
keep his commandments:

8 And might not be
as their fathers,
a stubborn
and rebellious generation;
a generation
that
set not their heart aright,
and whose spirit
was not stedfast
with God.

9 The children of Ephraim,
being armed,
and carrying bows,
turned back
in the day of battle.

10 They kept not
the covenant
of God,
and refused to walk
in his law;

11 And forgat
his works,
and his wonders
that
he had shewed them.

12 Marvellous things
did he
in the sight
of their fathers,
in the land of Egypt,
in the field of Zoan.

13 He divided the sea
, and caused them
to pass through;
and he made the waters
to stand as an heap.

14 In the daytime
also
he led them
with a cloud,
and all the night
with a light
of fire.

15 He clave the rocks
in the wilderness,
and gave them drink
as out of the great depths.

16 He brought streams
also
out of the rock,
and caused waters
to run down
like rivers.

17 And they sinned
yet more
against him
by provoking
the most High
in the wilderness.

18 And they tempted God
in their heart
by asking meat
for their lust.
19 Yea,
they spake against God;
they said,
Can God
furnish a table
in the wilderness?

20 Behold,
he smote the rock,
that the waters gushed out,
and the streams overflowed;
can he give bread also?
can he provide flesh
for his people?

21 Therefore
the Lord heard this,
and was wroth:
so a fire was kindled
against Jacob,
and anger also
came up against Israel;

22 Because
they believed not
in God,
and trusted not
in his salvation:

23 Though
he had commanded
the clouds from above,
and opened
the doors of heaven,

24 And had rained down manna
upon them
to eat,
and had given them
of the corn of heaven.

25 Man
did eat angels' food:
he sent them
meat
to the full.

26 He caused
an east wind
to blow
in the heaven:
and by his power
he brought in
the south wind.

27 He rained flesh als
o upon them
as dust,
and feathered fowls
like as the sand
of the sea:

28 And he let it fall
in the midst
of their camp,
round about
their habitations.

29 So they did eat,
and were well filled:
for he gave them
their own desire;

30 They were not estranged
from their lust.
But
while their meat
was yet in their mouths,

31 The wrath of God
came upon them,
and slew
the fattest of them,
and smote down
the chosen men of Israel.

32 For all this
they sinned still,
and believed not
for his wondrous works.

33 Therefore
their days
did he consume
in vanity,
and their years
in trouble.

34 When he slew them,
then they sought him:
and they returned
and enquired early
after God.

35 And they remembered
that God was their rock,
and the high God
their redeemer.

36 Nevertheless
they did flatter him
with their mouth,
and they lied unto him
with their tongues.

37 For their heart
was not right
with him,
neither were they stedfast
in his covenant.

38 But he,
being full of compassion,
forgave their iniquity,
and destroyed them not:
yea,
many a time
turned he
his anger away,
and did not stir up
all his wrath.

39 For
he remembered
that they were but flesh;
a wind that passeth away,
and cometh not again.

40 How oft
did they provoke him
in the wilderness,
and grieve him
in the desert!

41 Yea,
they turned back
and tempted God,
and limited
the Holy One of Israel.

42 They remembered not his hand,
nor the day
when he delivered them
from the enemy.

43 How
he had wrought
his signs
in Egypt,
and his wonders
in the field of Zoan.

44 And had turned their rivers
into blood;
and their floods,
that they could not drink.

45 He sent divers sorts of flies
among them,
which devoured them;
and frogs,
which destroyed them.

46 He gave also
their increase
unto the caterpiller,
and their labour
unto the locust.

47 He destroyed their vines
with hail,
and their sycomore trees
with frost.

48 He gave up their cattle
also to the hail,
and their flocks
to hot thunderbolts.

49 He cast upon them
the fierceness of his anger,
wrath,
and indignation,
and trouble,
by sending evil angels
among them.

50 He made a way
to his anger;
he spared not their soul
from death,
but gave their life
over to the pestilence;

51 And smote all the firstborn
in Egypt;
the chief of their strength
in the tabernacles of Ham:

52 But
made his own people
to go forth
like sheep,
and guided them
in the wilderness
like a flock.

53 And he led them on safely,
so that they feared not:
but
the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

54 And he brought them
to the border
of his sanctuary,
even to this mountain,
which his right hand
had purchased.

55 He cast out the heathen also
before them,
and divided them
an inheritance
by line,
and made the tribes of Israel
to dwell in their tents.

56 Yet
they tempted
and provoked
the most high God,
and kept not his testimonies:

57 But
turned back,
and dealt unfaithfully
like their fathers:
they were turned aside
like a deceitful bow.

58 For
they provoked him
to anger
with their high places,
and moved him
to jealousy
with their graven images.

59 When God heard this,
he was wroth,
and greatly abhorred Israel:

60 So that
he forsook
the tabernacle of Shiloh,
the tent
which he placed
among men;

61 And delivered his strength
into captivity,
and his glory
into the enemy's hand.

62 He gave his people
over also
unto the sword;
and was wroth
with his inheritance.

63 The fire consumed
their young men;
and their maidens
were not given to marriage.

64 Their priests fell
by the sword;
and their widows
made no lamentation.

65 Then
the Lord awaked
as one out of sleep,
and like a mighty man
that shouteth
by reason of wine.

66 And he smote his enemies
in the hinder parts:
he put them
to a perpetual reproach.

67 Moreover
he refused the tabernacle
of Joseph,
and chose not
the tribe of Ephraim:

68 But
chose the tribe
of Judah,
the mount Zion
which he loved.

69 And he built
his sanctuary
like high palaces,
like the earth
which he hath established
for ever.

70 He chose David also
his servant,
and took him
from the sheepfolds:

71 From following the ewes
great with young
he brought him
to feed Jacob
his people,
and Israel his inheritance.

72 So
he fed them
according to
the integrity
of his heart;
and guided them
by the skilfulness
of his hands.

Leviticus 26:1-20

1 Ye shall make you
no idols
nor graven image,
neither rear you up
a standing image,
neither shall ye set up
any image
of stone
in your land,
to bow down unto it:
for I am the Lord your God.

2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths,
and reverence my sanctuary:
I am the Lord.

3 If
ye walk in my statutes,
and keep my commandments,
and do them;

4 Then
I will give you rain
in due season,
and the land
shall yield her increase,
and the trees
of the field
shall yield their fruit.

5 And your threshing
shall reach unto the vintage,
and the vintage
shall reach unto the sowing time:
and ye shall eat your bread
to the full,
and dwell in your land safely.

6 And I will give peace
in the land,
and ye shall lie down,
and none shall make you afraid:
and I will rid evil beasts
out of the land,
neither shall the sword
go through your land.

7 And ye shall chase your enemies,
and they shall fall before you
by the sword.

8 And five
of you shall chase an hundred,
and an hundred of you
shall put ten thousand to flight:
and your enemies
shall fall before you
by the sword.

9 For
I will have respect unto you,
and make you fruitful,
and multiply you,
and establish my covenant
with you.

10 And ye shall eat old store,
and bring forth the old
because of the new.

11 And I set my tabernacle
among you:
and my soul
shall not abhor you.

12 And I will walk among you,
and will be your God,
and ye shall be my people.

13 I am the Lord your God,
which brought you forth
out of the land of Egypt,
that ye should not be their bondmen;
and I have broken the bands
of your yoke,
and made you go upright.

14 But
if
ye will not hearken
unto me,
and will not do
all these commandments;

15 And if
ye shall despise
my statutes,
or if your soul
abhor my judgments,
so that ye will not do
all my commandments,
but
that ye break
my covenant:

16 I also
will do this
unto you;
I will even appoint over you
terror,
consumption,
and the burning ague,
that shall consume the eyes,
and cause sorrow of heart:
and ye shall sow your seed
in vain,
for your enemies
shall eat it.

17 And I will set my face
against you,
and ye shall be slain
before your enemies:
they that hate you
shall reign over you;
and ye shall flee
when none pursueth you.

18 And if
ye will not yet
for all this
hearken unto me,
then I will punish you
seven times more
for your sins.

19 And I will break the pride
of your power;
and I will make
your heaven
as iron,
and your earth
as brass:

20 And your strength
shall be spent in vain:
for your land
shall not yield her increase,
neither shall the trees
of the land
yield their fruits.

1 Timothy 2:1-6

1 I exhort therefore,
that,
first of all,
supplications,
prayers,
intercessions,
and giving of thanks,
be made for all men;

2 For kings,
and for all
that are in authority;
that we may lead
a quiet
and peaceable
life
in all godliness
and honesty.

3 For
this is good
and acceptable
in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men
to be saved,
and to come
unto the knowledge
of the truth.

5 For there is one God,
and one mediator
between God
and men,
the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who
gave himself
a ransom for all,
to be testified
in due time.

Matthew 13:18-23

18 Hear ye therefore
the parable of the sower.

19 When
any one heareth
the word of the kingdom,
and understandeth it not,
then cometh the wicked one,
and catcheth away
that which was sown
in his heart.
This is he
which received seed
by the way side.

20 But
he
that received the seed
into stony places,
the same is he
that heareth the word,
and anon
with joy
receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he
not root
in himself,
but dureth
for a while:
for when tribulation
or persecution
ariseth
because
of the word,
by and by
he is offended.

22 He also
that received seed
among the thorns
is he
that heareth the word;
and the care of this world,
and the deceitfulness of riches,
choke the word,
and he becometh
unfruitful.

23 But
he
that received seed
into the good ground
is he
that heareth the word,
and understandeth it;
which also beareth fruit,
and bringeth forth,
some an hundredfold,
some sixty,
some thirty.

Psalm 119:97-120

97 O
how love I thy law!
it is my meditation
all the day.

98 Thou
through thy commandments
hast made me wiser
than mine enemies:
for they
are ever with me.

99 I have more understanding
than all my teachers:
for thy testimonies
are my meditation.

100 I understand
more than the ancients,
because
I keep thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet
from every evil way,
that I might keep thy word.

102 I have not departed
from thy judgments:
for thou hast taught me.

103 How sweet
are thy words
unto my taste!
yea,
sweeter than honey
to my mouth!

104 Through thy precepts
I get understanding:
therefore
I hate every false way.

105 Thy word
is a lamp
unto my feet,
and a light
unto my path.

106 I have sworn,
and I will perform it,
that I will keep
thy righteous judgments.

107 I am afflicted
very much:
quicken me,
O Lord,
according unto thy word.

108 Accept,
I beseech thee,
the freewill offerings
of my mouth,
O Lord,
and teach me
thy judgments.

109 My soul
is continually
in my hand:
yet
do I not forget thy law.

110 The wicked
have laid a snare
for me:
yet I erred not
from thy precepts.

111 Thy testimonies
have I taken
as an heritage
for ever:
for they are
the rejoicing
of my heart.

112 I have inclined mine heart
to perform thy statutes
alway,
even unto the end.

113 I hate
vain thoughts:
but
thy law
do I love.

114 Thou
art my hiding place
and my shield:
I hope
in thy word.

115 Depart from me,
ye evildoers:
for I will keep
the commandments
of my God.

116 Uphold me
according unto thy word,
that I may live:
and let me not be ashamed
of my hope.

117 Hold thou me up,
and I shall be safe:
and I will have respect
unto thy statutes
continually.

118 Thou hast trodden down
all them
that err
from thy statutes:
for their deceit
is falsehood.

119 Thou puttest away
all the wicked
of the earth like dross:
therefore
I love thy testimonies.

120 My flesh trembleth
for fear of thee;
and I am afraid
of thy judgments.

Leviticus 26:27-42

27 And if
ye will not
for all this
hearken unto me,
but
walk
contrary
unto me;

28 Then
I will walk
contrary unto you
also
in fury;
and I,
even I,
will chastise you
seven times
for your sins.

29 And ye
shall eat the flesh
of your sons,
and the flesh
of your daughters
shall ye eat.

30 And I will destroy
your high places,
and cut down
your images,
and cast your carcases
upon the carcases
of your idols,
and my soul
shall abhor you.

31 And I
will make your cities
waste,
and bring your sanctuaries
unto desolation,
and I will not smell
the savour
of your sweet odours.

32 And I will bring
the land
into desolation:
and your enemies
which dwell therein
shall be astonished at it.

33 And I will scatter you
among the heathen,
and will draw out
a sword
after you:
and your land
shall be desolate,
and your cities waste.

34 Then
shall the land
enjoy her sabbaths,
as long
as it lieth desolate,
and ye
be in your enemies' land;
even then
shall the land rest,
and enjoy her sabbaths.

35 As long
as it lieth desolate
it shall rest;
because
it did not rest
in your sabbaths,
when ye dwelt upon it.

36 And upon them
that are left alive
of you
I will send a faintness
into their hearts
in the lands
of their enemies;
and the sound
of a shaken leaf
shall chase them;
and they shall flee,
as fleeing from a sword;
and they shall fall
when none pursueth.

37 And they shall fall
one upon another,
as it were
before a sword,
when none pursueth:
and ye shall have no power
to stand
before your enemies.

38 And ye shall perish
among the heathen,
and the land
of your enemies
shall eat you up.

39 And they
that are left
of you
shall pine away
in their iniquity
in your enemies' lands;
and also
in the iniquities
of their fathers
shall they pine away
with them.

40 If
they shall confess
their iniquity,
and the iniquity
of their fathers,
with their trespass
which they trespassed
against me,
and that also
they have walked
contrary unto me;

41 And that
I also
have walked
contrary unto them,
and have brought them
into the land
of their enemies;
if
then
their uncircumcised hearts
be humbled,
and they then accept
of the punishment
of their iniquity:

42 Then
will I remember
my covenant
with Jacob,
and also
my covenant
with Isaac,
and also
my covenant
with Abraham
will I remember;
and I
will remember the land.

2 Kings 2:1-15

And it came to pass,
when the Lord
would take up
Elijah
into heaven
by a whirlwind,
that Elijah
went with Elisha
from Gilgal.

2 And Elijah
said unto Elisha,
Tarry here,
I pray thee;
for the Lord
hath sent me
to Bethel.
And Elisha
said unto him,
As the Lord liveth,
and as thy soul liveth,
I will not leave thee.
So
they went down
to Bethel.

3 And the sons
of the prophets
that were
at Bethel
came forth
to Elisha,
and said unto him,
Knowest thou
that the Lord
will take away
thy master
from thy head
to day?
And he said,
Yea,
I know it;
hold ye
your peace.

4 And Elijah
said unto him,
Elisha,
tarry here,
I pray thee;
for the Lord
hath sent me
to Jericho.
And he said,
As the Lord liveth,
and as thy soul liveth,
I will not leave thee.
So
they came to Jericho.

5 And the sons
of the prophets
that were at Jericho
came to Elisha,
and said unto him,
Knowest thou
that the Lord
will take away
thy master
from thy head
to day?
And he answered,
Yea,
I know it;
hold ye your peace.

6 And Elijah
said unto him,
Tarry,
I pray thee,
here;
for the Lord
hath sent me
to Jordan.
And he said,
As the Lord liveth,
and as
thy soul liveth,
I will not leave thee.
And they two went on.

7 And fifty men
of the sons
of the prophets went,
and stood
to view afar off:
and they two
stood by Jordan.

8 And Elijah
took his mantle,
and wrapped it together,
and smote the waters,
and they were divided
hither
and thither,
so that
they two
went over
on dry ground.

9 And it came to pass,
when they were gone over,
that Elijah
said unto Elisha,
Ask
what I shall do
for thee,
before
I be taken away
from thee.
And Elisha said,
I pray thee,
let a double portion
of thy spirit
be upon me.

10 And he said,
Thou hast asked
a hard thing:
nevertheless,
if
thou see me
when I am taken
from thee,
it shall be
so unto thee;
but
if not,
it shall not be so.

11 And it came to pass,
as they still went on,
and talked,
that,
behold,
there appeared
a chariot of fire,
and horses of fire,
and parted them
both asunder;
and Elijah went up
by a whirlwind
into heaven.

12 And Elisha saw it,
and he cried,
My father,
my father,
the chariot of Israel,
and the horsemen thereof.
And he saw him
no more:
and he took hold
of his own clothes,
and rent them
in two pieces.

13 He took up also
the mantle of Elijah
that fell from him,
and went back,
and stood by
the bank of Jordan;

14 And he took the mantle
of Elijah
that fell from him,
and smote the waters,
and said,
Where is the Lord God
of Elijah?
and when he also
had smitten the waters,
they parted
hither
and thither:
and Elisha went over.

15 And when
the sons
of the prophets
which were to view
at Jericho
saw him,
they said,
The spirit of Elijah
doth rest
on Elisha.
And they came to meet him,
and bowed themselves
to the ground
before him.

Ephesians 1:1-10

1 Paul,
an apostle
of Jesus Christ
by the will of God,
to the saints
which are at Ephesus,
and to the faithful
in Christ Jesus:

2 Grace
be to you,
and peace,
from God our Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed
be the God
and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who hath blessed us
with all spiritual blessings
in heavenly places
in Christ:

4 According
as he hath chosen us
in him
before the foundation
of the world,
that we should be holy
and without blame
before him
in love:

5 Having predestinated us
unto the adoption
of children
by Jesus Christ
to himself,
according to
the good pleasure
of his will,

6 To the praise
of the glory
of his grace,
wherein
he hath made us
accepted in the beloved.

7 In whom
we have redemption
through his blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to
the riches
of his grace;

8 Wherein
he hath abounded
toward us
in all wisdom
and prudence;

9 Having made known
unto us
the mystery
of his will,
according to
his good pleasure
which he hath purposed
in himself:

10 That
in the dispensation
of the fulness
of times
he might gather together
in one
all things
in Christ,
both which are in heaven,
and which are on earth;
even in him:

Revelation 5:1-14

And I saw
in the right hand
of him
that sat on the throne
a book written
within
and on the backside,
sealed
with seven seals.

2 And I saw
a strong angel
proclaiming
with a loud voice,
Who
is worthy
to open the book,
and to loose
the seals thereof?

3 And no man
in heaven,
nor in earth,
neither under the earth,
was able
to open the book,
neither to look thereon.

4 And I wept much,
because
no man
was found worthy
to open
and to read the book,
neither
to look thereon.

5 And one
of the elders
saith unto me,
Weep not:
behold,
the Lion
of the tribe
of Judah,
the Root of David,
hath prevailed
to open the book,
and to loose
the seven seals
thereof.

6 And I beheld,
and,
lo,
in the midst
of the throne
and of the four beasts,
and in the midst
of the elders,
stood a Lamb
as it had been slain,
having seven horns
and seven eyes,
which are the seven Spirits of God
sent forth
into all the earth.

7 And he came
and took the book
out of the right hand
of him
that sat upon the throne.

8 And when
he had taken the book,
the four beasts
and four and twenty elders
fell down
before the Lamb,
having every one of them
harps,
and golden vials
full of odours,
which are the prayers
of saints.

9 And they sung
a new song,
saying,
Thou art worthy
to take the book,
and to open the seals
thereof:
for thou wast slain,
and hast redeemed us
to God
by thy blood
out of every kindred,
and tongue,
and people,
and nation;

10 And hast made us
unto our God
kings
and priests:
and we shall reign
on the earth.

11 And I beheld,
and I heard
the voice of many angels
round about the throne
and the beasts
and the elders:
and the number
of them
was ten thousand
times
ten thousand,
and thousands
of thousands;

12 Saying
with a loud voice,
Worthy
is the Lamb
that was slain
to receive power,
and riches,
and wisdom,
and strength,
and honour,
and glory,
and blessing.

13 And every creature
which is in heaven,
and on the earth,
and under the earth,
and such as are in the sea,
and all
that are in them,
heard
I saying,
Blessing,
and honour,
and glory,
and power,
be unto him
that sitteth
upon the throne,
and unto the Lamb
for ever
and ever.

14 And the four beasts said,
Amen.
And the four and twenty elders
fell down
and worshipped him
that liveth
for ever
and ever.

Matthew 22:41-46

41 While the Pharisees
were gathered together,
Jesus asked them,

42 Saying,
What think ye
of Christ?
whose son is he?
They say
unto him,
The son of David.

43 He saith unto them,
How then
doth David
in spirit
call him Lord, saying,

44 The Lord
said
unto my Lord,
Sit thou
on my right hand,
till I make
thine enemies
thy footstool?

45 If
David
then call him Lord,
how is he
his son?

46 And no man
was able
to answer him
a word,
neither durst
any man
from that day forth
ask him
any more questions.

Psalm 47

1 O clap your hands,
all ye people;
shout unto God
with the voice of triumph.

2 For
the Lord most high
is terrible;
he is a great King
over all the earth.

3 He shall subdue the people
under us,
and the nations
under our feet.

4 He shall choose
our inheritance
for us,
the excellency of Jacob
whom he loved.
Selah.

5 God is gone up
with a shout,
the Lord
with the sound of a trumpet.

6 Sing praises to God,
sing praises:
sing praises
unto our King,
sing praises.

7 For
God
is the King
of all the earth:
sing ye praises
with understanding.

8 God reigneth
over the heathen:
God sitteth upon the throne
of his holiness.

9 The princes
of the people
are gathered together,
even the people
of the God of Abraham:
for the shields
of the earth
belong unto God:
he is greatly exalted.

Daniel 7:9-14

9 I beheld
till the thrones
were cast down,
and the Ancient of days
did sit,
whose garment
was white as snow,
and the hair of his head
like the pure wool:
his throne
was like the fiery flame,
and his wheels
as burning fire.

10 A fiery stream
issued
and came forth
from before him:
thousand thousands
ministered unto him,
and ten thousand times ten thousand
stood before him:
the judgment was set,
and the books
were opened.

11 I beheld then
because
of the voice
of the great words
which the horn spake:
I beheld
even till the beast
was slain,
and his body destroyed,
and given
to the burning flame.

12 As concerning
the rest of the beasts,
they had their dominion
taken away:
yet their lives
were prolonged
for a season and time.

13 I saw
in the night
visions,
and,
behold,
one
like the Son of man
came with the clouds of heaven,
and came
to the Ancient of days,
and they brought him near
before him.

14 And there was given him
dominion,
and glory,
and a kingdom,
that all people,
nations,
and languages,
should serve him:
his dominion
is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away,
and his kingdom
that which shall not be destroyed.

Hebrews 2:5-18

5 For
unto the angels
hath he not put in subjection
the world to come,
whereof we speak.

6 But
one
in a certain place
testified,
saying,
What is man,
that thou art mindful of him?
or the son of man
that thou visitest him?

7 Thou madest him
a little lower
than the angels;
thou crownedst him
with glory
and honour,
and didst set him
over the works
of thy hands:

8 Thou
hast put all things
in subjection
under his feet.
For
in that
he put all in subjection
under him,
he left nothing
that is not put under him.
But
now
we see not yet
all things put under him.

9 But
we see Jesus,
who was made a little lower
than the angels
for the suffering
of death,
crowned
with glory
and honour;
that he
by the grace of God
should taste death
for every man.

10 For
it became him,
for whom are all things,
and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons
unto glory,
to make the captain
of their salvation
perfect
through sufferings.

11 For
both he
that sanctifieth
and they
who are sanctified
are all of one:
for which cause
he is not ashamed
to call them
brethren,

12 Saying,
I will declare thy name
unto my brethren,
in the midst of the church
will I sing praise unto thee.

13 And again,
I will put my trust in him.
And again,
Behold
I
and the children
which God
hath given me.

14 Forasmuch
then
as the children
are partakers
of flesh
and blood,
he also himself
likewise
took part
of the same;
that through death
he might destroy him
that had the power
of death,
that is,
the devil;

15 And deliver them
who through fear of death
were all their lifetime
subject to bondage.

16 For verily
he took not on him
the nature of angels;
but he took on him
the seed of Abraham.

17 Wherefore
in all things
it behoved him
to be made like
unto his brethren,
that he might
be a merciful
and faithful high priest
in things
pertaining to God,
to make reconciliation
for the sins
of the people.

18 For
in that he himself
hath suffered
being tempted,
he is able to succour them
that are tempted.

Matthew 28:16-20

16 Then
the eleven disciples
went away
into Galilee,
into a mountain
where Jesus
had appointed them.

17 And when
they saw him,
they worshipped him:
but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came
and spake unto them,
saying,
All power
is given unto me
in heaven
and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations,
baptizing them
in the name
of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them
to observe all things
whatsoever
I have commanded you:
and,
lo,
I am with you always,
even
unto the end of the world.
Amen.

Psalm 85-86

Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12 Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Psalm 86

1 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

1 Samuel 2:1-10

1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

6 The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

7 The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.

9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Ephesians 2:1-10

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Matthew 7:22-27

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Psalm 87

1 His foundation
is in the holy mountains.

2 The Lord loveth
the gates of Zion
more
than all the dwellings
of Jacob.

3 Glorious things
are spoken of thee,
O city of God.
Selah.

4 I will make mention
of Rahab
and Babylon
to them
that know me:
behold Philistia,
and Tyre,
with Ethiopia;
this man was born there.

5 And of Zion
it shall be said,
This
and that man
was born in her:
and the highest himself
shall establish her.

6 The Lord shall count,
when he writeth up
the people,
that this man
was born there.
Selah.

7 As well the singers
as the players
on instruments
shall be there:
all my springs
are in thee.

Numbers 11:16-17, 24-29

16 And the Lord said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.

17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.

24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the Lord, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.

25 And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.

27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.

28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.

29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord'S people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!

Ephesians 2:11-22

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Matthew 7:28-8:4

28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Matthew 8

1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

Psalm 66-67

1 Make a joyful noise
unto God,
all ye lands:

2 Sing forth
the honour
of his name:
make his praise glorious.

3 Say unto God,
How terrible art thou
in thy works!
through the greatness
of thy power
shall thine enemies
submit themselves
unto thee.

4 All the earth
shall worship thee,
and shall sing unto thee;
they shall sing
to thy name.
Selah.

5 Come
and see
the works of God:
he is terrible
in his doing
toward the children
of men.

6 He turned the sea
into dry land:
they went through the flood
on foot:
there
did we rejoice
in him.

7 He ruleth
by his power
for ever;
his eyes
behold the nations:
let not the rebellious
exalt themselves.
Selah.

8 O bless our God
, ye people,
and make the voice
of his praise
to be heard:

9 Which holdeth our soul
in life,
and suffereth not our feet
to be moved.

10 For thou,
O God,
hast proved us:
thou hast tried us,
as silver is tried.

11 Thou broughtest us
into the net;
thou laidst affliction
upon our loins.

12 Thou hast caused men
to ride over our heads;
we went through fire
and through water:
but thou broughtest us out
into a wealthy place.

13 I will go into thy house
with burnt offerings:
I will pay thee my vows,

14 Which my lips
have uttered,
and my mouth
hath spoken,
when I was in trouble.

15 I will offer unto thee
burnt sacrifices
of fatlings,
with the incense
of rams;
I will offer bullocks
with goats.
Selah.

16 Come
and hear,
all ye
that fear God,
and I will declare
what he hath done
for my soul.

17 I cried unto him
with my mouth,
and he was extolled
with my tongue.

18 If
I regard iniquity
in my heart,
the Lord
will not hear me:

19 But verily
God
hath heard me;
he hath attended
to the voice
of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God,
which hath not turned away
my prayer,
nor his mercy
from me.

Psalm 67

1 God
be merciful unto us,
and bless us;
and cause his face
to shine upon us;
Selah.

2 That
thy way may be known
upon earth,
thy saving health
among all nations.

3 Let the people
praise thee,
O God;
let all the people
praise thee.

4 O let the nations
be glad
and sing
for joy:
for thou shalt judge the people
righteously,
and govern the nations
upon earth.
Selah.

5 Let the people
praise thee,
O God;
let all the people
praise thee.

6 Then
shall the earth
yield her increase;
and God,
even our own God,
shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us;
and all the ends of the earth
shall fear him.

Exodus 3:1-12

1 Now Moses
kept the flock
of Jethro
his father in law,
the priest of Midian:
and he led the flock
to the backside
of the desert,
and came
to the mountain of God,
even to Horeb.

2 And the angel
of the Lord
appeared unto him
in a flame of fire
out of the midst
of a bush:
and he looked,
and,
behold,
the bush burned
with fire,
and the bush
was not consumed.

3 And Moses said,
I will now
turn aside,
and see this great sight,
why the bush
is not burnt.

4 And when
the Lord saw
that
he turned aside
to see,
God called unto him
out of the midst
of the bush,
and said,
Moses,
Moses.
And he said,
Here am I.

5 And he said,
Draw not nigh hither:
put off thy shoes
from off thy feet,
for the place
whereon thou standest
is holy ground.
I am the God
of thy father,
the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac,
and the God of Jacob.
And Moses
hid his face;
for he was afraid
to look upon God.

7 And the Lord said,
I have surely seen
the affliction of my people
which are in Egypt,
and have heard their cry
by reason of their taskmasters;
for I know their sorrows;

8 And I am come down
to deliver them
out of the hand
of the Egyptians,
and to bring them up
out of that land
unto a good land
and a large,
unto a land
flowing
with milk
and honey;
unto the place
of the Canaanites,
and the Hittites,
and the Amorites,
and the Perizzites
, and the Hivites,
and the Jebusites.

9 Now
therefore,
behold,
the cry of the children
of Israel i
s come unto me:
and I have also seen
the oppression
wherewith
the Egyptian
oppress them.

10 Come now
therefore,
and I will send thee
unto Pharaoh,
that thou mayest bring forth
my people
the children of Israel
out of Egypt.

11 And Moses
said unto God,
Who am I,
that I should go
unto Pharaoh,
and that I should bring
forth the children
of Israel out of Egypt?

12 And he said,
Certainly
I will be with thee;
and this shall be a token
unto thee,
that I have sent thee:
When
thou hast brought forth
the people
out of Egypt,
ye shall serve God
upon this mountain.

Hebrews 12:18-29

18 For
ye are not come
unto the mount
that might be touched,
and that burned with fire
nor unto blackness,
and darkness,
and tempest,

19 And the sound
of a trumpet,
and the voice of words;
which voice
they that heard
intreated
that the word
should not be spoken
to them
any more:

20 (For
they could not endure
that which was commanded,
And if
so much as a beast
touch the mountain,
it shall be stoned,
or thrust through
with a dart:

21 And so terrible
was the sight,
that Moses said,
I exceedingly fear
and quake:)

22 But
ye are come
unto mount Sion,
and unto the city
of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem,
and to an innumerable company
of angels,

23 To the general assembly
and church
of the firstborn,
which are written
in heaven,
and to God
the Judge of all,
and to the spirits
of just men
made perfect,

24 And to Jesus
the mediator
of the new covenant,
and to the blood of sprinkling,
that speaketh better things
than that of Abel.

25 See
that ye refuse not
him that speaketh.
For if
they escaped not
who refused him
that spake on earth,
much more shall not we escape,
if
we turn away
from him
that speaketh from heaven:

26 Whose voice
then shook the earth:
but now he hath promised,
saying,
Yet once more I shake
not the earth only,
but also heaven.

27 And this word,
Yet once more,
signifieth
the removing
of those things
that are shaken,
as of things
that are made,
that those things
which cannot be shaken
may remain.

28 Wherefore
we receiving a kingdom
which cannot be moved,
let us have grace,
whereby
we may serve God acceptably
with reverence
and godly fear:

29 For
our God
is a consuming fire.

Matthew 10:17-24

17 But
beware of men:
for they will deliver you
up to the councils,
and they will scourge you
in their synagogues;

18 And ye
shall be brought
before governors
and kings
for my sake,
for a testimony
against them
and the Gentiles.

19 But
when they deliver you up,
take no thought
how
or what
ye shall speak:
for it shall be given you
in that same hour
what ye shall speak.

20 For
it is not ye
that speak,
but
the Spirit
of your Father
which speaketh in you.

21 And the brother
shall deliver up
the brother
to death,
and the father
the child:
and the children
shall rise up
against their parents,
and cause them
to be put to death.

22 And ye
shall be hated
of all men
for my name's sake:
but
he that endureth
to the end
shall be saved.

23 But
when they persecute you
in this city,
flee ye into another:
for verily
I say unto you,
Ye shall not have gone
over the cities of Israel,
till the Son of man
be come.

24 The disciple
is not above his master,
nor the servant
above his lord.

Psalm 89

1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?

7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

8 O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.

16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

18 For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

38 But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

42 Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

44 Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.

45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

46 How long, Lord? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

49 Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?

50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

51 Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Lord; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

52 Blessed be the Lord for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

Joshua 1:1-9

1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Ephesians 3:1-13

1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Matthew 8:5-17

5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Psalm 94-95

1 O Lord God,
to whom vengeance belongeth;
O God,
to whom vengeance belongeth,
shew thyself.

2 Lift up thyself,
thou judge of the earth:
render a reward
to the proud.

3 Lord,
how long
shall the wicked,
how long
shall the wicked
triumph?

4 How long
shall they utter
and speak
hard things?
and all the workers
of iniquity
boast themselves?

5 They break in pieces
thy people,
O Lord,
and afflict thine heritage.

6 They slay
the widow
and the stranger,
and murder
the fatherless.

7 Yet they say,
The Lord
shall not see,
neither shall the God of Jacob
regard it.

8 Understand,
ye brutish
among the people:
and ye fools,
when will ye be wise?

9 He that planted the ear,
shall he not hear?
he that formed the eye,
shall he not see?

10 He that chastiseth
the heathen,
shall not he correct?
he that teacheth
man
knowledge,
shall not he know?

11 The Lord knoweth
the thoughts of man,
that they are vanity.

12 Blessed is the man
whom thou chastenest,
O Lord,
and teachest him
out of thy law;

13 That thou mayest give him rest
from the days of adversity,
until the pit
be digged for the wicked.

14 For
the Lord
will not cast off his people,
neither will he forsake
his inheritance.

15 But
judgment
shall return
unto righteousness:
and all the upright
in heart
shall follow it.

16 Who
will rise up for me
against the evildoers?
or who
will stand up
for me
against the workers
of iniquity?

17 Unless
the Lord
had been my help,
my soul had almost dwelt
in silence.

18 When I said,
My foot slippeth;
thy mercy,
O Lord,
held me up.

19 In the multitude
of my thoughts
within me
thy comforts
delight my soul.

20 Shall the throne
of iniquity
have fellowship
with thee,
which frameth mischief
by a law?

21 They gather themselves
together
against the soul
of the righteous,
and condemn
the innocent blood.

22 But
the Lord
is my defence;
and my God
is the rock
of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring
upon them
their own iniquity,
and shall cut them off
in their own wickedness;
yea,
the Lord our God
shall cut them off.

Psalm 95
1 O come,
let us sing
unto the Lord:
let us make a joyful noise
to the rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come
before his presence
with thanksgiving,
and make a joyful noise
unto him
with psalms.

3 For
the Lord
is a great God,
and a great King
above all gods.

4 In his hand
are the deep places
of the earth:
the strength
of the hills
is his
also.

5 The sea is his,
and he made it:
and his hands
formed the dry land.

6 O come,
let us worship
and bow down:
let us kneel
before the Lord
our maker.

7 For
he is our God;
and we are the people
of his pasture,
and the sheep
of his hand.
To day
if
ye will hear his voice,

8 Harden not your heart,
as in the provocation,
and as in the day of temptation
in the wilderness:

9 When
your fathers
tempted me,
proved me,
and saw my work.

10 Forty years long
was I grieved
with this generation,
and said,
It is a people
that do err
in their heart,
and they have not known
my ways:

11 Unto whom
I sware
in my wrath
that they should no
enter into my rest.

1 Samuel 16:1-13

1 And the Lord
said unto Samuel,
How long
wilt thou mourn
for Saul,
seeing
I have rejected him
from reigning
over Israel?
fill thine horn
with oil,
and go,
I will send thee
to Jesse
the Bethlehemite:
for I
have provided me
a king
among his sons.

2 And Samuel said,
How can I go?
if Saul hear it,
he will kill me.
And the Lord said,
Take an heifer
with thee,
and say,
I am come
to sacrifice
to the Lord.

3 And call Jesse
to the sacrifice,
and I will shew thee
what thou shalt do:
and thou shalt anoint
unto me
him
whom I name
unto thee.

4 And Samuel
did that
which the Lord spake,
and came to Bethlehem.
And the elders
of the town
trembled
at his coming,
and said,
Comest thou
peaceably?

5 And he said,
Peaceably:
I am come
to sacrifice
unto the Lord:
sanctify yourselves,
and come with me
to the sacrifice.
And he sanctified
Jesse
and his sons,
and called them
to the sacrifice.

6 And it came to pass,
when they were come,
that he looked on Eliab,
and said,
Surely
the Lord's anointed
is before him.

7 But
the Lord said
unto Samuel,
Look not
on his countenance,
or on the height
of his stature;
because
I have refused him:
for the Lord seeth
not as man seeth;
for man
looketh
on the outward appearance,
but
the Lord
looketh
on the heart.

8 Then
Jesse
called Abinadab,
and made him
pass before Samuel.
And he said,
Neither
hath the Lord
chosen this.

9 Then
Jesse
made Shammah
to pass by.
And he said,
Neither
hath the Lord
chosen this.

10 Again,
Jesse
made seven
of his sons
to pass
before Samuel.
And Samuel
said unto Jesse,
The Lord
hath not chosen these.

11 And Samuel
said unto Jesse,
Are here
all thy children?
And he said,
There remaineth
yet the youngest,
and, behold,
he keepeth the sheep.
And Samuel
said unto Jesse,
Send
and fetch him:
for we
will not sit down
till he come hither.

12 And he sent,
and brought him in.
Now he was ruddy,
and withal
of a beautiful countenance,
and goodly
to look to.
And the Lord said,
Arise,
anoint him:
for this is he.

13 Then
Samuel
took the horn
of oil,
and anointed him
in the midst
of his brethren:
and the Spirit
of the Lord
came upon David
from that day forward.
So
Samuel
rose up,
and went to Ramah.

Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For
this cause
I bow my knees
unto the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom
the whole family
in heaven
and earth
is named,

16 That
he would grant you,
according
to the riches
of his glory,
to be strengthened
with might
by his Spirit
in the inner man;

17 That
Christ
may dwell
in your hearts
by faith;
that ye,
being rooted
and grounded
in love,

18 May be able
to comprehend
with all saints
what is the breadth,
and length,
and depth,
and height;

19 And to know
the love of Christ,
which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled
with all the fulness
of God.

20 Now
unto him
that is able
to do exceeding abundantly
above all
that we ask
or think,
according
to the power
that worketh
in us,

21 Unto him
be glory
in the church
by Christ Jesus
throughout all ages,
world without end.
Amen.

Matthew 8:18-27

18 Now
when Jesus
saw great multitudes
about him,
he gave commandment
to depart
unto the other side.

19 And a certain scribe
came,
and said
unto him,
Master,
I will follow thee
whithersoever
thou goest.

20 And Jesus saith
unto him,
The foxes have holes,
and the birds
of the air
have nests;
but
the Son of man
hath not where
to lay his head.

21 And another
of his disciples
said unto him,
Lord,
suffer me
first to go
and bury my father.

22 But
Jesus
said unto him,
Follow me;
and let the dead
bury their dead.

23 And when
he was entered
into a ship,
his disciples
followed him.

24 And,
behold,
there arose
a great tempest
in the sea,
insomuch
that the ship
was covered
with the waves:
but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples
came to him,
and awoke him,
saying,
Lord,
save us:
we perish.

26 And he saith
unto them,
Why
are ye fearful,
O ye
of little faith?
Then
he arose,
and rebuked
the winds
and the sea;
and there
was a great calm.

27 But
the men
marvelled,
saying,
What manner of man
is this,
that even the winds
and the sea
obey him!

Psalm 101

1 I will sing
of mercy
and judgment:
unto thee,
O Lord,
will I sing.

2 I will behave myself
wisely
in a perfect way.
O when
wilt thou come
unto me?
I will walk
within my house
with a perfect heart.

3 I will set no wicked thing
before mine eyes:
I hate the work
of them
that turn aside;
it shall not cleave to me.

4 A froward heart
shall depart from me:
I will not know
a wicked person.

5 Whoso
privily slandereth
his neighbour,
him will I cut off:
him that hath an high look
and a proud heart
will not I suffer.

6 Mine eyes
shall be upon the faithful
of the land,
that they may dwell
with me:
he that walketh
in a perfect way,
he shall serve me.

7 He that worketh deceit
shall not dwell
within my house:
he that telleth lies
shall not tarry
in my sight.

8 I will early
destroy all the wicked
of the land;
that I may cut off
all wicked doers
from the city
of the Lord.

Isaiah 4:2-6

2 In that day
shall the branch
of the Lord
be beautiful
and glorious,
and the fruit
of the earth
shall be excellent
and comely
for them
that are escaped
of Israel.

3 And it shall come to pass,
that he that is left
in Zion,
and he that remaineth
in Jerusalem,
shall be called holy,
even every one
that is written
among the living
in Jerusalem:

4 When
the Lord
shall have washed away
the filth
of the daughters of Zion,
and shall have purged
the blood of Jerusalem
from the midst thereof
by the spirit of judgment,
and by the spirit of burning.

5 And the Lord
will create
upon every dwelling place
of mount Zion,
and upon her assemblies,
a cloud
and smoke by day,
and the shining
of a flaming fire
by night:
for upon all
the glory
shall be a defence.

6 And there shall be
a tabernacle
for a shadow
in the day time
from the heat,
and for a place of refuge,
and for a covert
from storm
and from rain.

Ephesians 4:1-16

1 I therefore,
the prisoner of the Lord,
beseech you
that ye walk worthy
of the vocation
wherewith
ye are called,

2 With all lowliness
and meekness,
with longsuffering,
forbearing one another
in love;

3 Endeavouring
to keep
the unity
of the Spirit
in the bond
of peace.

4 There is one body,
and one Spirit,
even as ye are called
in one hope
of your calling;

5 One Lord,
one faith,
one baptism,

6 One God
and Father of all,
who is above all,
and through all,
and in you all.

7 But
unto every one of us
is given grace
according to the measure
of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore
he saith,
When he ascended up
on high,
he led captivity
captive,
and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now
that he ascended,
what is it
but that
he also descended
first
into the lower parts
of the earth?

10 He
that descended
is the same also
that ascended up
far above
all heavens,
that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some,
apostles;
and some,
prophets;
and some,
evangelists;
and some,
pastors
and teachers;

12 For the perfecting
of the saints,
for the work
of the ministry,
for the edifying
of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come
in the unity
of the faith,
and of the knowledge
of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man,
unto the measure
of the stature
of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth
be no more children,
tossed to
and fro,
and carried about
with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness,
whereby
they lie in wait
to deceive;

15 But
speaking the truth
in love,
may grow up
into him
in all things,
which is the head,
even Christ:

16 From whom
the whole body
fitly joined together
and compacted
by that
which every joint supplieth,
according to
the effectual working
in the measure
of every part,
maketh increase
of the body
unto the edifying
of itself in love.

Matthew 8:28-34

28 And when
he was come
to the other side
into the country
of the Gergesenes,
there met him
two possessed with devils,
coming out of the tombs,
exceeding fierce,
so that no man
might pass
by that way.

29 And, behold,
they cried out,
saying,
What have we
to do with thee,
Jesus,
thou Son of God?
art thou come hither
to torment us
before the time?

30 And there was
a good way off
from them
an herd
of many swine
feeding.

31 So
the devils
besought him,
saying,
If
thou cast us out,
suffer us
to go away
into the herd of swine.

32 And he said
unto them,
Go.
And when
they were come out,
they went
into the herd of swine:
and,
behold,
the whole herd
of swine
ran violently
down a steep place
into the sea,
and perished
in the waters.

33 And they
that kept them
fled,
and went their ways
into the city,
and told every thing,
and what was befallen
to the possessed
of the devils.

34 And,
behold,
the whole city
came out
to meet Jesus:
and when they saw him,
they besought him
that he would depart
out of their coasts.

Psalm 105

1 O give thanks
unto the Lord;
call upon his name:
make known his deeds
among the people.

2 Sing
unto him,
sing psalms
unto him:
talk ye
of all
his wondrous works.

3 Glory ye
in his holy name:
let the heart
of them
rejoice
that seek the Lord.

4 Seek the Lord,
and his strength:
seek his face
evermore.

5 Remember
his marvellous works
that he hath done;
his wonders,
and the judgments
of his mouth;

6 O ye seed
of Abraham
his servant,
ye children
of Jacob
his chosen.

7 He
is the Lord
our God:
his judgments are
in all the earth.

8 He hath remembered
his covenant
for ever,
the word
which he commanded
to a thousand generations.

9 Which
covenant
he made
with Abraham,
and his oath
unto Isaac;

10 And confirmed
the same
unto Jacob
for a law,
and to Israel
for an everlasting covenant:

11 Saying,
Unto thee
will I give the land
of Canaan,
the lot
of your inheritance:

12 When
they were
but a few men
in number;
yea,
very few,
and strangers
in it.

13 When
they went
from one nation
to another,
from one kingdom
to another people;

14 He suffered
no man
to do them wrong:
yea,
he reproved kings
for their sakes;

15 Saying,
Touch not mine anointed,
and do my prophets
no harm.
16 Moreover
he called for a famine
upon the land:
he brake the whole staff
of bread.

17 He sent a man
before them,
even Joseph,
who was sold
for a servant:

18 Whose feet
they hurt
with fetters:
he was laid in iron:

19 Until the time
that his word came:
the word of the Lord
tried him.

20 The king sent
and loosed him;
even the ruler
of the people,
and let him go free.

21 He made him lord
of his house,
and ruler
of all his substance:

22 To bind his princes
at his pleasure;
and teach his senators
wisdom.

23 Israel
also
came into Egypt;
and Jacob sojourned
in the land of Ham.

24 And he increased
his people greatly;
and made them stronger
than their enemies.

25 He turned their heart
to hate his people,
to deal subtilly
with his servants.

26 He sent Moses
his servant;
and Aaron
whom he had chosen.

27 They shewed his signs
among them,
and wonders
in the land of Ham.

28 He sent darkness,
and made it dark;
and they rebelled not
against his word.

29 He turned their waters
into blood,
and slew their fish.

30 Their land
brought forth frogs
in abundance,
in the chambers
of their kings.

31 He spake,
and there came
divers sorts of flies,
and lice
in all their coasts.

32 He gave them hail
for rain,
and flaming fire
in their land.

33 He smote their vines
also
and their fig trees;
and brake the trees
of their coasts.

34 He spake,
and the locusts came,
and caterpillers,
and that without number,

35 And did eat up
all the herbs
in their land,
and devoured
the fruit
of their ground.

36 He smote
also
all the firstborn
in their land,
the chief
of all their strength.

37 He brought them forth
also
with silver
and gold:
and there was not one feeble person
among their tribes.

38 Egypt was glad
when they departed:
for the fear of them
fell upon them.

39 He spread a cloud
for a covering;
and fire
to give light
in the night.

40 The people asked,
and he brought quails,
and satisfied them
with the bread of heaven.

41 He opened the rock,
and the waters gushed out;
they ran in the dry places
like a river.

42 For
he remembered
his holy promise,
and Abraham his servant.

43 And he brought forth
his people
with joy,
and his chosen
with gladness:

44 And gave them
the lands
of the heathen:
and they inherited
the labour
of the people;

45 That
they might observe
his statutes,
and keep his laws.
Praise ye the Lord.

Zechariah 4:1-14

And the angel
that talked with me
came again,
and waked me,
as a man
that is wakened
out of his sleep.

2 And said unto me,
What seest thou?
And I said,
I have looked,
and behold a candlestick
all of gold,
with a bowl
upon the top of it,
and his seven lamps
thereon,
and seven pipes
to the seven lamps,
which are upon the top thereof:

3 And two olive trees
by it,
one upon the right side
of the bowl,
and the other
upon the left side
thereof.

4 So
I answered
and spake
to the angel
that talked with me,
saying,
What are these,
my lord?

5 Then
the angel
that talked with me
answered and said
unto me,
Knowest thou not
what these be?
And I said,
No,
my lord.

6 Then
he answered
and spake unto me,
saying,
This is the word
of the Lord
unto Zerubbabel,
saying,
Not by might,
nor by power,
but by my spirit,
saith the Lord of hosts.

7 Who art thou,
O great mountain?
before Zerubbabel
thou shalt become a plain:
and he shall bring forth
the headstone thereof
with shoutings,
crying,
Grace,
grace unto it.

8 Moreover
the word of the Lord
came unto me,
saying,

9 The hands of Zerubbabel
have laid the foundation
of this house;
his hands
shall also finish it;
and thou shalt know
that the Lord of hosts
hath sent me
unto you.

10 For
who hath despised
the day of small things?
for they shall rejoice,
and shall see the plummet
in the hand of Zerubbabel
with those seven;
they are the eyes of the Lord,
which run
to
and fro
through
the whole earth.

11 Then
answered I,
and said unto him,
What
are these two olive trees
upon the right side
of the candlestick
and upon the left side
thereof?

12 And I answered
again,
and said unto him,
What
be these two olive branches
which through the two golden pipes
empty the golden oil
out of themselves?

13 And he answered me
and said,
Knowest thou not
what these be?
And I said,
No,
my lord.

14 Then
said he,
These
are the two anointed ones,
that stand by the Lord
of the whole earth.

Ephesians 4:17-32

17 This
I say
therefore,
and testify
in the Lord,
that ye henceforth
walk not
as other Gentiles
walk,
in the vanity
of their mind,

18 Having
the understanding darkened,
being alienated
from the life
of God
through the ignorance
that is in them,
because of
the blindness
of their heart:

19 Who
being past feeling
have given themselves
over
unto lasciviousness,
to work all uncleanness
with greediness.

20 But
ye
have not so learned
Christ;

21 If
so be
that ye have heard him,
and have been taught
by him,
as the truth is
in Jesus:

22 That
ye put off
concerning
the former conversation
the old man,
which is corrupt
according to the deceitful lusts;

23 And be renewed
in the spirit
of your mind;

24 And that ye put on
the new man,
which after God
is created
in righteousness
and true holiness.

25 Wherefore
putting away lying,
speak every man
truth with his neighbour:
for we are members
one of another.

26 Be ye angry,
and sin not:
let not the sun
go down
upon your wrath:

27 Neither give place
to the devil.

28 Let him
that stole
steal no more:
but rather
let him labour,
working with his hands
the thing
which is good,
that he may have
to give to him
that needeth.

29 Let no corrupt communication
proceed out of your mouth,
but that
which is good
to the use
of edifying,
that it may minister
grace
unto the hearers.

30 And grieve not
the holy Spirit of God,
whereby ye are sealed
unto the day
of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness,
and wrath,
and anger,
and clamour,
and evil speaking,
be put away
from you,
with all malice:

32 And be ye kind
one
to another,
tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
even as God
for Christ's sake
hath forgiven you.

Matthew 9:1-8

1 And he entered
into a ship,
and passed over,
and came
into his own city.

2 And,
behold,
they brought to him
a man
sick of the palsy,
lying on a bed:
and Jesus
seeing their faith
said unto the sick
of the palsy;
Son,
be of good cheer;
thy sins
be forgiven thee.

3 And,
behold,
certain
of the scribes
said within themselves,
This man blasphemeth.

4 And Jesus
knowing their thoughts
said,
Wherefore
think ye evil
in your hearts?

5 For
whether
is easier,
to say,
Thy sins
be forgiven thee;
or to say,
Arise,
and walk?

6 But
that ye
may know
that the Son
of man
hath power
on earth
to forgive sins,
(then saith he
to the sick
of the palsy,)
Arise,
take up thy bed,
and go unto thine house.

7 And he arose,
and departed
to his house.

8 But
when
the multitudes saw it,
they marvelled,
and glorified God,
which had given such power
unto men.

Psalm 102

1 Hear my prayer,
O Lord,
and let my cry
come unto thee.

2 Hide not thy face
from me
in the day
when I am in trouble;
incline thine ear
unto me:
in the day
when I call
answer me speedily.

3 For my days
are consumed
like smoke,
and my bones
are burned
as an hearth.

4 My heart is smitten
and withered
like grass;
so that I forget
to eat my bread.

5 By reason
of the voice
of my groaning
my bones
cleave to my skin.

6 I am like a pelican
of the wilderness:
I am like an owl
of the desert.

7 I watch,
and am as a sparrow
alone
uponthe house top.

8 Mine enemies
reproach me
all the day;
and they
that are mad
against me
are sworn against me.

9 For
I have eaten
like bread,
and mingled my drink
with weeping.

10 Because
of thine indignation
and thy wrath:
for thou hast lifted me up,
and cast me down.

11 My days
are like a shadow
that declineth;
and I am withered
like grass.

12 But thou,
O Lord,
shall endure
for ever;
and thy remembrance
unto all generations.

13 Thou shalt arise,
and have mercy
upon Zion:
for the time
to favour her,
yea,
the set time,
come.

14 For thy servants
take pleasure
in her stones
and favour
the dust thereof.

15 So
the heathen
shall fear
the name
of the Lord,
and all the kings
of the earth
thy glory.

16 When
the Lord
shall build up Zion,
he shall appear
in his glory.

17 He will regard
the prayer
of the destitute,
and not despise
their prayer.

18 This
shall be written
for the generation
to come:
and the people
which shall be created
shall praise the Lord.

19 For
he hath looked down
from the height
of his sanctuary;
from heaven
did the Lord
behold the earth;

20 To hear
the groaning
of the prisoner;
to loose those
that are appointed
to death;

21 To declare
the name of the Lord
in Zion,
and his praise
in Jerusalem;

22 When
the people
are gathered together,
and the kingdoms,
to serve the Lord.

23 He weakened my strength
in the way;
he shortened my days.

24 I said,
O my God,
take me not away
in the midst of my days:
thy years
are throughout
all generations.

25 Of old
hast thou laid
the foundation
of the earth:
and the heavens
are the work
of thy hands.

26 They shall perish,
but thou shalt endure:
yea,
all of them
shall wax old
like a garment;
as a vesture
shalt thou change them,
and they shall be changed:

27 But
thou art the same,
and thy years
shall have no end.

28 The children
of thy servants
shall continue,
and their seed
shall be established
before thee.

Jeremiah 31:27-34

27 Behold,
the days come,
saith the Lord
, that I will sow
the house of Israel
and the house of Judah
with the seed of man,
and with the seed of beast.

28 And it shall come to pass,
that like as I
have watched
over them,
to pluck up,
and to break down,
and to throw down,
and to destroy,
and to afflict;
so will I
watch
over them,
to build,
and to plant,
saith the Lord.

29 In those days
they shall say no more,
The fathers have eaten
a sour grape,
and the children's teeth
are set on edge.

30 But
every one
shall die
for his own iniquity:
every man
that eateth
the sour grape,
his teeth
shall be set on edge.

31 Behold,
the days come,
saith the Lord,
that I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel,
and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant
that I made
with their fathers
in the day
that I took them
by the hand
to bring them
out of the land
of Egypt;
which my covenant
they brake,
although
I was an husband
unto them,
saith the Lord:

33 But
this shall be
the covenant
that I will make
with the house
of Israel;
After those days,
saith the Lord,
I will put my law
in their inward parts,
and write it
in their hearts;
and will be their God,
and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach
no more
every man
his neighbour,
and every man
his brother,
saying,
Know the Lord:
for
they shall all know me,
from the least of them
unto the greatest of them,
saith the Lord:
for I will forgive their iniquity,
and I will remember their sin
no more.

Ephesians 5:1-20

1 Be ye therefore
followers of God,
as dear children;

2 And walk in love,
as Christ also
hath loved us,
and hath given himself
for us
an offering
and a sacrifice
to God
for a sweetsmelling savour.

3 But
fornication,
and all uncleanness,
or covetousness,
let it not be once
named among you,
as becometh saints;

4 Neither filthiness,
nor foolish talking,
nor jesting,
which are not convenient:
but rather
giving of thanks.

5 For
this ye know,
that no whoremonger,
nor unclean person,
nor covetous man,
who is an idolater,
hath any inheritance
in the kingdom
of Christ
and of God.

6 Let no man deceive you
with vain words:
for
because
of these things
cometh the wrath of God
upon the children
of disobedience.

7 Be not ye
therefore
partakers with them.

8 For ye
were sometimes darkness,
but now are ye light
in the Lord:
walk
as children
of light:

9 (For
the fruit of the Spirit
is in all goodness
and righteousness
and truth;)

10 Proving
what is acceptable
unto the Lord.

11 And have no fellowship
with the unfruitful works
of darkness,
but rather reprove them.

12 For
it is a shame
even to speak
of those things
which are done
of them in secret.

13 But
all things
that are reproved
are made manifest
by the light:
for whatsoever
doth make manifest
is light.

14 Wherefore
he saith,
Awake
thou that sleepest,
and arise
from the dead,
and Christ
shall give thee light.

15 See then
that ye walk circumspectly,
not as fools,
but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time,
because the days
are evil.

17 Wherefore
be ye not unwise,
but understanding
what the will of the Lord is.

18 And be not drunk with wine,
wherein is excess;
but be filled
with the Spirit;

19 Speaking to yourselves
in psalms
and hymns
and spiritual songs,
singing
and making melody
in your heart
to the Lord;

20 Giving thanks
always
for all things
unto God
and the Father
in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ;

Matthew 9:9-17

9 And as Jesus passed forth
from thence,
he saw a man,
named Matthew,
sitting
at the receipt of custom:
and he saith unto him,
Follow me.
And he arose,
and followed him.

10 And it came to pass,
as Jesus sat
at meat
in the house,
behold,
many publicans
and sinners
came
and sat down
with him
and his disciples.

11 And when
the Pharisees saw it,
they said
unto his disciples,
Why eateth your Master
with publicans
and sinners?

12 But
when
Jesus heard that,
he said unto them,
They that be whole
need not a physician
, but they
that are sick.

13 But
go ye
and learn
what that meaneth,
I will have mercy,
and not sacrifice:
for I am not come
to call the righteous,
but sinners
to repentance.

14 Then
came to him
the disciples of John,
saying,
Why do we
and the Pharisees
fast oft,
but thy disciples
fast not?

15 And Jesus said
unto them,
Can the children
of the bridechamber
mourn,
as long as the bridegroom
is with them?
but
the days will come,
when the bridegroom
shall be taken
from them,
and then
shall they fast.

16 No man
putteth a piece of new cloth
unto an old garment,
for that
which is put in
to fill it up
taketh from the garment,
and the rent
is made worse.

17 Neither
do men
put new wine
into old bottles:
else the bottles break
, and the wine runneth out,
and the bottles perish:
but
they put new wine
into new bottles,
and both
are preserved.

Psalm 108

1 O God,
my heart is fixed;
I will sing
and give praise,
even with my glory.

2 Awake,
psaltery
and harp:
I myself will awake early.

3 I will praise thee,
O Lord,
among the people:
and I will sing praises
unto thee
among the nations.

4 For thy mercy
is great
above the heavens:
and thy truth
reacheth
unto the clouds.

5 Be thou exalted,
O God,
above the heavens:
and thy glory
above
all the earth;

6 That thy beloved
may be delivered:
save with thy right hand,
and answer me.

7 God hath spoken
in his holiness;
I will rejoice,
I will divide Shechem
, and mete out
the valley of Succoth.

8 Gilead is mine;
Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also
is the strength
of mine head;
Judah is my lawgiver;

9 Moab is my washpot;
over Edom
will I cast out
my shoe;
over Philistia
will I triumph.

10 Who
will bring me
into the strong city?
who
will lead me
into Edom?

11 Wilt not thou,
O God,
who hast cast us off?
and wilt not thou,
O God,
go forth
with our hosts?

12 Give us help
from trouble:
for vain
is the help
of man.

13 Through God
we shall do valiantly:
for he it is
that shall tread down
our enemies.

Ezekiel 36:22-27

22 Therefore
say
unto the house of Israel,
thus
saith the Lord God;
I do not this
for your sakes,
O house of Israel,
but
for mine holy name's sake,
which ye have profaned
among the heathen,
whither ye went.

23 And I will sanctify
my great name,
which was profaned
among the heathen,
which ye have profaned
in the midst of them;
and the heathen
shall know
that I am the Lord,
saith the Lord God,
when I shall be sanctified
in you
before their eyes.

24 For
I will take you
from among the heathen,
and gather you out
of all countries,
and will bring you
into your own land.

25 Then
will I sprinkle clean water
upon you,
and ye shall be clean:
from all your filthiness,
and from all your idols,
will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also
will I give you,
and a new spirit
will I put within you:
and I will take away
the stony heart out
of your flesh,
and I will give you
an heart of flesh.

27 And I
will put my spirit
within you,
and cause you
to walk in my statutes,
and ye shall keep my judgments,
and do them.

Exodus 19:3-8, 16-20

3 And Moses
went up unto God,
and the Lord
called unto him
out of the mountain,
saying,
Thus
shalt thou say
to the house of Jacob,
and tell
the children of Israel;

4 Ye have seen
what I did
unto the Egyptians,
and how I bare you
on eagles' wings,
and brought you
unto myself.

5 Now therefore,
if
ye will obey my voice
indeed,
and keep my covenant,
then
ye shall be
a peculiar treasure
unto me
above all people:
for all the earth
is mine:

6 And ye shall be
unto me
a kingdom of priests,
and an holy nation.
These
are the words
which thou shalt speak
unto the children of Israel.

7 And Moses
came
and called
for the elders
of the people,
and laid
before their faces
all these words
which the Lord
commanded him.

8 And all the people
answered together,
and said,
All
that the Lord hath spoken
we will do.
And Moses
returned the words
of the people
unto the Lord.

16 And it came to pass
on the third day
in the morning,
that there were thunders
and lightnings,
and a thick cloud
upon the mount,
and the voice
of the trumpet
exceeding loud;
so that
all the people
that was in the camp
trembled.

17 And Moses
brought forth
the people
out of the camp
to meet with God;
and they stood
at the nether
part of the mount.

18 And mount Sinai
was altogether
on a smoke,
because
the Lord descended
upon it in fire:
and the smoke
thereof
ascended
as the smoke
of a furnace,
and the whole mount
quaked
greatly.

19 And when
the voice
of the trumpet
sounded long,
and waxed louder
and louder,
Moses spake,
and God answered him
by a voice.

20 And the Lord
came down
upon mount Sinai,
on the top
of the mount:
and the Lord
called Moses
up
to the top
of the mount;
and Moses went up.

Ephesians 6:10-24

10 Finally,
my brethren,
be strong
in the Lord,
and in the power
of his might.

11 Put on
the whole armour
of God,
that ye may be able
to stand
against the wiles
of the devil.

12 For
we wrestle not
against flesh
and blood,
but against principalities,
against powers,
against the rulers
of the darkness
of this world,
against spiritual wickedness
in high places.

13 Wherefore
take unto you
the whole armour
of God,
that ye may be able
to withstand
in the evil day,
and having done all,
to stand.

14 Stand therefore,
having your loins
girt about
with truth,
and having on
the breastplate
of righteousness;

15 And your feet
shod
with the preparation
of the gospel
of peace;

16 Above all,
taking the shield
of faith,
wherewith
ye shall be able
to quench
all the fiery darts
of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet
of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit,
which is
the word of God:

18 Praying always
with all prayer
and supplication
in the Spirit,
and watching
thereunto
with all perseverance
and supplication
for all saints;

19 And for me,
that utterance
may be given
unto me,
that I may open my mouth
boldly,
to make known
the mystery
of the gospel,

20 For which
I am an ambassador
in bonds:
that therei
n I may speak boldly,
as I ought to speak.

21 But
that ye also
may know my affairs,
and how I do,
Tychicus,
a beloved brother
and faithful minister
in the Lord,
shall make known
to you
all things:

22 Whom
I have sent
unto you
for the same purpose,
that ye might know
our affairs,
and that he might comfort
your hearts.

23 Peace
be to the brethren,
and love
with faith,
from God the Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace
be with all them
that love
our Lord Jesus Christ
in sincerity.
Amen.

1 Peter 2:4-10

4 To whom
coming,
as unto a living stone,
disallowed indeed
of men,
but chosen
of God,
and precious,

5 Ye also,
as lively stones,
are built up
a spiritual house,
an holy priesthood,
to offer up
spiritual sacrifices,
acceptable to God
by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore
also
it is contained
in the scripture,
Behold,
I lay in Sion
a chief corner stone,
elect,
precious:
and he that believeth
on him
shall not be
confounded.

7 Unto you
therefore
which believe
he is precious:
but unto them
which be disobedient,
the stone
which the builders disallowed,
the same
is made the head
of the corner,

8 And a stone
of stumbling,
and a rock
of offence,
even to them
which stumble
at the word,
being disobedient:
whereunto also
they were appointed.

9 But ye
are a chosen generation,
a royal priesthood,
an holy nation,
a peculiar people;
that ye
should shew forth
the praises
of him
who hath called you
out of darkness
into his marvellous light;

10 Which
in time past
were not a people,
but are now
the people of God:
which had not
obtained mercy,
but
now
have obtained mercy.

Matthew 9:18-26

18 While he spake these things
unto them,
behold,
there came
a certain ruler,
and worshipped him,
saying,
My daughter
is even now
dead:
but come
and lay thy hand
upon her,
and she shall live.

19 And Jesus arose,
and followed him,
and so did his disciples.

20 And,
behold,
a woman,
which was diseased
with an issue of blood
twelve years,
came behind him,
and touched
the hem
of his garment:

21 For
she said
within herself,
If
I may
but touch
his garment,
I shall be whole.

22 But
Jesus
turned him about,
and when he saw her,
he said,
Daughter,
be of good comfort;
thy faith
hath made thee whole.
And the woman
was made whole
from that hour.

23 And when
Jesus came
into the ruler's house,
and saw the minstrels
and the people
making a noise,

24 He said
unto them,
Give place:
for the maid
is not dead,
but sleepeth.
And they laughed him
to scorn.

25 But
when the people
were put forth,
he went in,
and took her
by the hand,
and the maid arose.

26 And the fame hereof
went abroad
into all that land.
